Like many things, comfort is relative to expectations.
We've to hand it to Mazda for giving us an econobox that handles close to Bimmers. Performance cars are built more for handling than those of the boaty body-rolling Camry comfort.
Just don't expect low pro tires to retain you that high tire wall ride.
That said, even on 19s & a mild drop, I'm giving the M3 unbiased high marks on balance between handling & comfort even in our poor obstacle-filled roads.
Travajante sir, how did you install the splash guard w/o cutting? I checked my rear wheel well and there's no hole for the screws unlike the front that it has already provisions for the splash guards?
Just use 1 screw under. Clean the wells thoroughly w/ isopropyl alcohol w/o moisturizer. You can use either polyurethane adhesive or 3M super strength auto or industrial double sided. The former is better but best left to cure for a day w/ secure temporary tape for that perfect cavity-free fitment.
Mine on 3M has endured the daily grind for almost a year.
Hope this helps, sir.
Discovered a possible inborn M3 disorder I share w/ the GrandMast3r, Geo. This may strike many later.
My armrest/console lid unhinged loose by itself. Frequent use? Yes. Abuse? No!
Sought the guidance of our awesome MazdaTech & he demo'd me the fix. 5mins, no tools. So, fret not should this happen to you.
Below & behind the lid facing the rear passenger seat is a removable cover w/o screws. Grab & pull it from under out. You'll see the armrest hinge pins off the hinges. Just push em back & you're good.
When this happens again, I'll probably find some small screws to double as pin stopper.
Pretty sure some of the veteran Mown3rs have seen this happen. Hope this helps.
A blessed day, all!![]()
Hi Guys,
Just counting the days before I get my Mazda 3 2.0R.
Can I know what freebies you got from your SA? My SA said he'll give me visors worth P5K.

Wonder why Mazda dint just throw the TPMS in when its just among the many functions of the wheel speed sensors. Harness, switch & BCM programming shouldn't cost much.....I'm glad carmakers have gone away from the valve stem TPMS....those were the wheel whore's enemy#1! Haha

I know all those tech options are pluses to have, but Mazda has to leave stuff to throw in trickles on year-year updates. Personally, I'm fine w/o any of those. Lesser electronic stuff to break, the better.
Mazda even held back adding the TPMS switch, its BCM harness & function when we already have the multi-tasking wheel speed sensors to handle that. Just glad carmakers reverted back to those, discarding the valve stem TPMS.....they were the wheel whore's enemy#1. Haha!:D
Triple post on 1 I thought never got thru? This forum has a unique quirk.![]()

Changes are noted below in Red beside the change bar.
APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS
2014-2015 Mazda3 vehicles with VINs lower than JM1BM******233957 (produced Sept. 22, 2014)
2014-2015 Mazda6 vehicles with VINs lower than JM1GJ******210201 (produced Sept. 22, 2014)
2013-2015 CX-5 vehicles with VINs lower than JM3KE******531471 (produced Sept. 22, 2014)
DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit an unusual thumping noise from under the front of the vehicle. This noise only occurs when starting to move the vehicle while the steering wheel is turned to the full left position.
NOTE: The noise will not occur if the steering wheel is in the center or full right position.
The noise is caused when the edge of the left side inner ball joint gets stuck with the steering gear housing.
To eliminate the noise, the shape of the inner ball joint edge has been changed.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify the customer concern by turning the steering wheel full left, then start moving the vehicle.
If the noise is not present, this service information does not apply.
If the noise is present, REPLACE the driver’s-side tie rod assembly with a MODIFIED part.
2. Remove the left front lower control arm (A) according to the on-line instructions on MS3 or the Workshop Manual (section 02-13 FRONT LOWER ARM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
Please mark or save this TSB.
