The mazda bt-50 is really nice, kind of remarkable when it comes to styling. Although, aren't they a bit overpriced? 1.3M is just way too much for a commercial vehicle. I really do like it compare to the ranger, but the price bothers me.
Those people who have bought it earlier must've gotten overwhelmed without thinking how it should really be priced. I'm sure them guys have plenty of cash to burn, but then again, shouldn't it be wise to think it over first before jumping in the truck craze?
I hope these car companies aren't milking it too much from the calamities going on in the philippines.
^^
I agree, it has more toys plus leather seats. But then again, i think the price for the 4x2 trim is a bit too much. The price of 3.2 4x4 version though is reasonable for me.
Maybe you were referring to the colorado? I agree, if there is one pickup that is overpriced, its that chevy...
the ranger xlt is 1.179M, as far as i can remember. the same platform as the bt50, with climate control and other amenities, yet its 200grand more expensive than the ranger?
for 1.3M that's already the price of a proper japanese suv. and it even has better techno touch ups than the ranger, colorado and bt50.
I know everyone loves these new beasts, heck i too am really looking forward of having one in my garage... however, it seems like these car companies taking advantage of every situation.
Ok. not everyone would agree to what i am saying right now... but as a car owner myself, and have owned vehicles in the philippines and in abroad... we definitely know for sure how these commercial vehicles should be priced!
and another thing, these models were suppose to be launched by 2012, yet only a few were sold right now due to the limited supply. So, mean to say the rest will be buying a year old car for 2013 at the same price as today.
It's just a complete rip off!
Saw one parked at careyboy days ago. Tama kayo, ibang iba siya sa picture. In reality the front looks nice and the rear feels boring though. Overall, its a nice looking truck
Come to think of it, you are right sir. The TOTL strada pickup costs 1.3m and the features are almost the same (the usable ones for me, that is) plus its 4x4. So the pricing for the bt 50 is really quite high.
But if one has the extra cash to spare, heck this is one good truck IMO.
if it is for the toys you are after then get a base model vehicle, for a "reasonable price", and load it up with better after market add-ons. Or simply get a proper suv. Just remember that these are suppose to be workhorses, commercial vehicles, so give justice on the price. A true petrolhead knows this.
I'm not really a fan of the l200 due to its firm damper, it has the same suspension feel with the shogun/nativa. Although, one might consider that instead of these new flashy trucks.
Some features are not found in Strada,
specially the Body SIZE. and the Engine.
5 cyclinder 3.2L vs 4 cylinder 2.5L..
If same proper maintenance and same load is applied,
It's very clear the 5 cylinder is less stressed and will outlast the 4 cylinder.
And for looks,
many strada owners, need to spend money and accessories to be a looker.
Masyado kasi madami sa kalsada.
Does the accessories has good resale value?
driving the BT-50, all stock at banawe, shell gas station.
It catches lot of attention. Some says parang F-150 sa laki.
stepping all down the accelerator.,
you can feel the wheel propels the heavy body forward,
Parang nag wala yun speedometer needle sa dashboard.
The only thing that will come into your mind is..
will you be able to STOP this beast if someone suddenly
someone crosses the road.
Ha! Sa wakas nakuha ko rin kung panu mapost, hehe, thanks for the help!
^^
Dang sir! Guapo! Astig rin pag black, kainggit!
How was the ride sir after changing your tires? I bet hindi naapektuhan masyado acceleration?
