Hello po. Outside Metro Manila ok naman po ba sya gamitin? Balak sana namin bumili ng car sa December and ibreak-in na rin sana namin out-of-town. Kung sample, sa Baguio, or sa Bicol, accurate naman ang directions nya? May nakatry na gumamit ng waze papunta dun? Maraming salamat po.

Yes, Waze is accurate even in the provinces. Even without internet, as long as the maps have loaded already, Waze will still guide you to your destination via GPS.

Yes, Waze is accurate even in the provinces. Even without internet, as long as the maps have loaded already, Waze will still guide you to your destination via GPS.

Tried it w/out internet. Sinet ko muna locatoion/route ko using our internet dito sa bahay. Pag labas I thought ok pa rin pero..

Pina ikot ikot ako malapit sa chinese general hospital and another one is from las pinas going to canyon woods laurel batangas, nung nasa slex nako di na ma detect location ko,

Pero w/ internet, reliable sya for sure.

Keep in mind that Waze is not exclusive to drivers of private vehicles.

Pwede rin syang gamitin ng mga nakasakay sa uv express, sa bus, sa tricycle, motorbike, naglalakad. Kung dalhin ka ng waze sa "shortcut" na sobrang sikip, most probably dahil may mga naka-motor na gumamit ng way na yun.

Kaya nga dont rely on it coz our wireless broadband is buggy. Tayo na ngs pinakamabagal na internet compared all of asia, then all of a sudden Waze is reliable.

You cannot use Waze pag na-traffic ka sa main provincial roads and find alternatives, pag minalas ka mapunta ka sa barrio ng mga aswang heheh

maganda nyan globe smart sim mo para kung wala signal si globe or smart pwede mag palit.

ok din si google maps..si waze lang may update kung may road repair. try mo din maps.me para may offline map ka. hindi ko pa lang na gamit yun sa mga province, google, waze kasi gamit ko

As with city driving, it's better to know the general location of where you're going instead of relying 100% on Waze or any GPS app for that matter.

For example, you're going to Baguio. Very simple - NLEX, SCTEX, McArthur Highway, Kennon Road, and then voila, Baguio. If Waze suddenly brings you to an unknown road, don't follow it.

I drive thousands of kilometers of provincial roads in a month, and have found myself needing Waze a few times. 90% of the time, Waze gets it right. Though when in the province, I alternate between Waze and Google Maps to be sure. For the 10% of the time that Waze gets it wrong, I just trust on common sense, and if necessary, I ask locals.

People were able to drive from Luzon to Mindanao long before Waze existed, I don't see why the app should be a limiting factor today.

There was this one time, I was going to a resort in bulacan. I was unfamiliar with the area so I used waze. When I came to the destination point, it was a residential house. Confused, I asked the house owner where the resort was, because waze pointed me to their house. He said, "Ah, dyan lang yan sa likod namin. Tatawid ka lang ng ilog." Apparently waze brought me the other side of the river hehe. Had to do manual method & asked around going there hehe.

Sa offline mode kasi or mawalan ng signal, once mag deviate ka ng ilang meters sa route tsaka ka magkakaproblema.

If offline pag mahina signal ng smart or globe, I'm using navmii. Ilan beses nako na save nito.

Pag sa province wala pa rin tatalo sa pagatatanong sa locals ask 3 random people to verify na tama ang directions binibigay sa'yo.

What I realized about Waze nowadays is that it's a great tool to determine your shortest route to a destination at a specific moment. You can never get this benefit without being on-line as waze gets information from user's feedback (i.e, our reports and our travel speed as we go through a specific route). The problem is that traffic conditions can change INSTANTLY, especially with our very bad traffic situation here in MM. So your current route may be the shortest route NOW, but it may not be a few moments after. Don't blame it on Waze, Blame it on our traffic situation.

Is it just me or do you also experience yung sumasablay na yung ETA ni waze.

Several times, it took longer than expected. Mukhang di na din kinakaya ni Waze ang Metro traffic.

Dati bihira, pero dumadalas lately. May times na hindi nya tinetake into account yung reported na standstill o heavy traffic. Hindi pa naka-red or orange yung street so hindi nadadagdag sa estimated travel time pero patong-patong na yung reports.
