That should be sufficient. I used to do Manila-Bicol frequently and I didn't bring as much stuff, just water and something to munch on. [emoji4]

i may omit the diesel, yung canned food will be brought in the future on a separate emergency bag with contents like clothes, first aid kit, etc

the tire compressor i bought has a metal body and a metal piston, i believe this will last longer than those rattly plastic ones. tried inflating the spare from 33psi to 40 and it took only several seconds. kaso 7 days replacement lang siya and it is the same for all the stores that sells the product. i will replace its cigarette port connection to battery clamps as it is rated for upto 14A while my port is rated upto only 10A

Saan mo nabili ung tire compressor? How much? Plano ko kasi mag byahe to surigao this march with family, using a SUV. Kayanin ko ba if ako Lang driver considering I am already a senior citizen?

The compressor is an Elevo 688, bought it at Concorde for 1800. Ganun din price nya sa True Value and Ace.

Pace nyo na lang according to your capability, like stopping every 2-3hrs or so. Kaya naman yan if hindi nagmamadali, at may kasama naman kayo along the trip.

Congrats! How was your stay in Naga and Matnog? What sights and restaurants did you try?

I arrived Naga at around 9PM, so no dice on restaurants to try. Departed for Matnog at around 430AM, nagstopover ako at Cagsawa ruins at around 6AM, it was about 100+ KMs from Naga din. Umuulan that time so hindi ko nanaman nakita ang tip ni Mayon

Bumili ako ng pusit at hotdog sa market, then yung kasabayan ko sa bangka nag share ng inihaw at sinabawang isda for lunch. Nag pack up na ako by 2AM baka kailangan mag evacuate

Anyone can do this basta determined heheh. Ample rest ang kelangan, as in tulog talaga.

Wala namang nagbago hehehe if you are familiar with that road, daming potholes, one lane zones, binakbak na concrete tiles pero pinapadaanan, etc. Am sure familiar ka dun sa part after Andaya when you turn right, yung palusong na grabe lubak, halos 200-300M ang distance. Kawawa suspension niyo dito

Sipocot ata yung area pagkanan after andaya, yung may malaking Petron.

    -----

i averaged about 14.3KM/L, not bad for an A/T - marami nang hataw yun. it was computed using full tank method, pero not really full tank - more like half tank then fill up, note KM reading.
doon sa trip na yun ko na appreciate ang extra lighting, when it is around 11PM and raining heavily. wala akong budget pang retrofit

14.3 km/L is good, I used to get 12-13 km/L with my Ranger. What car? [emoji4]

Extra lighting is useless if you have dark tint. My car with HID retrofits but medium tint still has poorer visibility compared to my other car with stock halogens but clear tint.

HID on the left, halogen on the right. Layo ng output diba? But all that output is wasted because of tint:

its an Innova 2.5, last gen.

it already has a 3M CS35 on windshield and front windows, light tint with a 'hope' of privacy . problem lang pag heavy downpour na talaga, no issues naman on most nights with average rain. saw your posted thread with that pic already, it is really helpful sa mga pasaway na gustong "madilim sa labas pero maliwanag sa loob"

pero napansin ko most of the vehicles plying that route eh 3 out of 5 may aux lights talaga. halos walang street lights not until approaching Naga na. not unlike going up Ilocos eh most of the roads are somewhat lighted

I used to have K14 tint Osram Nightbreaker headlamps (10% better than stock). Served well for the Bicol-Manila trip. Pag malakas ulan, kahit HID hirap talaga. 😕

Eto ba sir yung Sipocot stretch ng Maharlika Highway? Di pa rin ba inaayos? Grabe nga to, buong daan sira. Dumaan kami last September papuntang Caramoan. After naman nito mga bagong aspalto na up to Naga City, hataw na ulit hehe.
