the tile of the thread doesn't match the question in your message.
Calamba City, Philippines to Naga City, Philippines - Google Maps
if can handle the steep slopes, turn right to Quezon national park for a short cut once in atimonan
take the quirino (sometimes andaya highway) once you get to tagkawayan quezon.
I'll take the A/T car
Thank you for your response, fourtheboys96. Sorry my dad posted this question. He probably meant to save space and asked two questions at once. hitting two birds with one stone.LOL Thanks again!
no problem. it is ok to ask multiple questions but it is better to include something about your thread title in the main message just to avoid confusion. this will facilitate easier elicitation of answers.
btw, once you get to lucena, quezon, the road to naga is pretty easy. quite a long drive especially the quirino highway where you almost cannot see anything except nature to your left and right.
have a safe trip.
If you are visiting Mayon Volcano, its in Guinobatan, Albay about 1 hr from Naga City.
Depends on how many person traveling, I suggest you drive/use anything bigger than a car, several portions of the road from Pagbilao, Quezon to Naga City is a wrecked. Repairs were made in several portion of the Andaya Highway but still not enough to be car friendly.

Whatever will see will see. Thanks again, for your input Sir! God bless!
From Cagsawa to Mt Mayon Planetarium it is about 45 kms, roughly 1 hr drive via Ligao.
The hitch here is if the bridge going to Tabaco from Ligao is not yet fixed then you have to take the Legaspi City-Sto Domingo-Tabaco road which is farther. When I passed here last January, the bridge is still under repair and I have to drive below the bridge, no problem for SUVs and PUJs, but definitely not for cars.
If you have other site to visit in Legaspi City, here is my suggested route for you.
From Naga City travel to Cagsawa ruins in Guinobatan, then to Legaspi City, do your tour in Legaspi City.
On the way back, travel through the Sto Domingo-Tabaco road and pass by the Mt Mayon Planetarium.
From Mt. Mayon Planetarium you can travel back to Naga City through the Tabaco-Polangui road, no damage bridge to cross in this route.
You need a good guide or GPS as there are many arterial roads. In this itinerary you can use a car.
Or, you can do the reverse starting from the Mt Mayon Planetarium by taking the Polangui-Tabaco road. Road junction is near the Polangui market. Personally this is my preferred choice as I dont want to drive late in the interior roads.
Thank you, Sir. That way, di ako maligaw ligaw. But thanks for these useful tips, Sir. Will give it a thought.
