I thought fireworks are banned already? I'm hearing a lot of fireworks now! I'm so stressed because this might stress out my fat lab (she is still under treatment/antibiotics)

    it's just the paputok(firecrakers) are prohibited/banned. fireworks displays aren't.
don't you have enough room under your bed for your fat lab to hide? add some buffers with the openings if needed then you may put mattresses on your window/s to muffle the sound even more.

check in sa hotel. look for one that allows dogs.
many asthmatics also do this annual new year's hotel check-in.

It's not an option for us because we always celebrate new year's at home. Also, I don't know of any hotel that allows dogs

That's nice. But it's really not an option for me. It's our tradition to spend new year's at home

I really hope they would be strict with the firecrackers. Ang dami talagang matigas ang ulo

I can hear fireworks My bed's bottom in solid and she rarely stays in my room because there's too much for her to chew on or eat. She almost died in 2014 because she ate something poisonous, we still don't know what it was But I'm fixing my room now (tinataas na pwedeng itaas), if it gets noisy tomorrow, I'd have to bring her inside nga. Sigurado yan, aakyat sa bed ko and I would need to change sheets again

For some reason, our dog sleeps through the whole thing as if walang nangyayari.

Either that or she looks around outside with us. Di naman siya bingi hehe

I do recall na natatakot siya sa firecrackers for the first 2-3 years with us.

Fireworks display/event this coming New Year
