Most likely mga 1-2 years pa yan.

I went up Baguio yesterday via Kennon and a rock fell on my trunk, resulting in a small dent and chipped paint.
I still don't have my touch up paint available but hopefully it doesn't rust til then.
It wasn't raining whatsoever and this is the first time in many years of traversing Kennon that I actually fell victim to falling rocks. Oh well. Weather is good though so I still might pass by Kennon going down - let's see if it's just a one-off event or sheer bad luck. 😂

Uggh. Unlucky bro. Should be an easy fix though. Was it a loud thud?

kennon is suicidal. how much time do you save by not using marcos hw?

and 45-60 isnt bad either.. no falling rocks.

Kennon is not that bad. There is enough distances between bends to pass slower vehicles.
They say it gets tricky during the rainy season as some portions of Kennon only have a single usable lane.
That's right sir. The heavyweights can usually cause a queue especially for those who dont frequent the city. I find MH better because the road is wider and makes for an easy passing maneuver. But since kennon is shorter and steeper, this is what people use the most. I wanted to pass through kennon during my last visit(last week of August). However there were a lot of road works so I took MH instead.
the road is good and smooth and maybe the drivers there are somewhat predictable. my issue is the loose rocks.

Marcos is 10km longer than Kennon so for most drivers that's an additional 15-20 minutes.
I prefer Kennon because the roads are smoother (Marcos' cement is bumpy because of all the trucks). Currently there's only one part of Kennon that's one-lane (a bridge in Camp 4 or 5). But even considering the one-lane portion plus 15 peso toll, it's still faster and cheaper to go up Kennon which is why all the UV Express vans pass there.

The view in marcos highway is much nicer though

I make my decision when I reach Rosario. Kennon if it's sunny, Marcos when it looks like it's gonna rain.
