If that is the case then that is about 19L of diesel fuel only. Now Baguio is about 250Km, so you did 13Km/L.... Wow!

I remembered that when we took the Gen3 TCi AT to Baguio some years ago,- I consumed 5/8 tank,- so about 37L.- so about 6.7Km/L hataw mode midnight to early morning.... I stopped computing after that....

Did not do the same thing for our TCi AT GS....

Yes, bro.,- that is why I translated everything to liters... 75L ang tank ng GS; 60L ang tank ng Gen3 Starex; not sure about the Cruze. (Of course, you are correct,- fuel gauge lang ang basis,- hindi 100% accurate)

Just for comparison,- on that same night we went up to Baguio,- I had my sister's Innova D4D with me,- all along the way.

Their Innova consumed only 3/8 tank (60L ang tank),- which is about 22L,- or about 11Km/L..... Ang laki ng diperensiya....

1/4 tank din ang usual consumption ko using a GS crdi via nlex-sctex-magilas (longer by 28km?) and kennon (shorter by how many km via marcos?) from unioil mindanao ave station to burnham park. approximately 12+km/L.

So, there is our benchmark number for the GS VGT A/T - around 12Km/L+...

Hataw mode pa iyan 2 na iyan,- PANIGURADO...

Hehehe! Definitely gave the GS a workout. Could've been more strenuous, but it definitely got an Italian tune up. Apparently that was enough of a workout, hindi na ulit mausok yung GS. My bro in law was actually looking for some signs of smoke to find out when I had downshifted or when I was powering up so he could prepare to do the same. The Cruze is good for cruising, pero naiiwan sa arangkada sa overtaking. Babawi na lang sa rekta.

The 12km/L is probably a good estimate until you get to Baguio. The shorter trips within Baguio killed the FC. Bagsak sa mga 8km/L (from Ortigas to in and around Baguio) when I gassed up before going down.

I also had to change the battery. Had it checked prior to going on the roadtrip coz it was about 2 years old already. I even got a read out that it would still make at least another 6 months. Walang palya sa byahe, except for Sunday morning. Medyo naghesitate. I thought baka lang nalamigan, so in Urdaneta, our only major stopover, I turned the engine off, then on again. Had to settle for a Motolite gold.

A Manila - Baguio - Manila trip is always good to clear up the engine of carbon build up. Why spend for decarbonizing sa CASA pa? :D

I almost got zapped there once as the pickup was hiding at a ditch near one of the overpasses. The Fortuner who blew past me got stopped at the La Paz exit.

That is exactly where the &^%$^ was hiding,- a couple of Km before the Luisita exit....

Forester, Previa and (our) GS,- we got ditched.... (And I thought that an odd-numbered group has good fortune....)

Walang group rate sa ticket? :D My rule of thumb nalang on SCTEX is to be cautious of my speed when i'm near those overpasses.

Where's the fun in that, right? Hehehe!

Still had some power to max out actually. Didn't floor the pedal yet. Ran out of room. D*mn trikes and MCs!
