I havent decided yet if we'll go home via baguio or go back the same route. Just in case, Is it ok to spend the night in either solano or bayombong. I've read some hotels like governors garden in solano and saber inn in bayombong. I just want to break the long trip going back home. I'm also open to other suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Parang pareho din lang cause mag oovernite din kami sa Baguio in case we take the baguio route.

But anyway, thanks for the tip about lodging in solano and bayombong. If we head back that way, I know where to spend the night.

    Up ko lang po ito,

Balak ko po i-adventure ang family ko using our Innova going to Banaue, kailangan ko po ng inputs, kasi it will be my first trip in that place.

    Mga tanong ko po:

    1. Ok po ba ang weather during mid December to Jan?
    2. Ok po ba ang road condition?
    3. Ilang oras kaya ang trip from Manila to Banaue?
    4. From Banaue to Baguio, ilang oras kaya?

Mga tips and suggestion po about this road trip.

    TIA

Another question is that yong daan papuntang Sagada from Banaue, di ba talaga kaya ng Crosswind? Balak namin pumunta this Dec 11.

    1. Maulan ang December to Jan sa Banawe.
    2. Mejo malubak:
    a. just before the zigzag road (bundok) going to Sta. Fe
    b. after the zigzag road
    c. Lamut, Ifugao (maputik pag umuulan)
    3. If private car, around 10-12 hours (with stopovers)
    4. If via Cayapa, around 5-6 hours pero matarik ang daan. If via San Jose, around 8-10 hours. I would recommend the San Jose route (it's safer IMO)

Yes it's via Solano, NV.

    Thank you po Sir Picard,

Last January, Nakarating po kami ng Pagudpod 12 hour trip, with lots of stop-over.

To sagada better leave your car and hire jeepney from Banawe..Kawawa sasakyan at mejo maulan ngayon..Ang mga pinapasok na sasakyan doon madalas maririnig mo makalampag ang pangilalim..

Hindi morin maeenjoy sceneries kung maulan like sumaging cave, batad falls and the original rice terraces.

Kayang kaya ng Innova Matic yan. Sa mga steep grades, just shift to L or 2 para hindi kawawa ang tranny. Nakarating na Altis ko sa banaue, apat kami sa tsikot with my then 2 year old son.

Di naman kami full load, well 4 kami pero 2 of them are my kids, and alang madaming dala except mga personal effects. Kaya tingin ko di mabigat yong load.
So in effect yong daan going to Banaue pala si relatively smooth.

*jatcos - So ganun ba kagrabe yong daan papuntang Sagada from Banaue? Ang problema kasi ala akong mapag-iiwanan yong sasakyan sa Banaue aside from Banaue hotel, and given that case di kami magche-checkout para legit pag-iwan ko dun yong car.
Balak kasi naming mag-overnite sa Sagada. Kasi kung 3 hours ang biyahe papunta, that will give 6 hours total. (Yong pabalik kasi dapat di kami gabihin sa daan with a rented jeep.)

Ano ba recommeded itenerary for that 3-4 hours?

3-4hrs is good for Banawe only..Better plan a 2-day trip if you intend to go to Sagada..What i did is is a weekend trip..from my office, we left Manila Friday night around 11pm, sta Rita exit derecho lang and we arrived at Solano around 2:30 am..from Solano paakyat na yun around 1.5 hrs drive..arrived Banawe around 4 then parked the car at manongs(the jeepney driver) house. Sakay kami sa jeep nya at enjoyed kami sa aalog-alog na ride..halos sa flooring na kami nakaupo dahilsa bouncy ride..ahahaha i remember.. arrived at Sagada around 7-8(can't remember exactly pero umaga na), check in sa lodge, ligo, breakfast, then prepare for seeing places..Dami doon local tour guides, register ka sa barangay for added security.. Overnight at Sagada tahimik ang lugar, meron bars n resto..Sunday early morning set off to Batad then evening return to Manila..

Kung may kasama ka bata, for sure very tiresome pero mageenjoy sila sa nature trip.. What to expect - lots of nature and cultural sceneries, yummy veggies, lots of koreans, brits, french(they enjoy walking), cheap lodging. Batad where you can find the original rice terraces and Ifugaos(yung naka bahag pa) is not child friendly..anlayo ng lalakarin mo about 4 mountains yata un kelangan tawirin, muddy trail, fog, rain,etc..Pero all in all, ayos..hehe
