My Rota Slipstream 16s (except 1) acquired some bengkongs, but I do not blame this on poor quality. Perhaps part of the reason is the tires, which are only 45 series (I cannot fit taller rubber dahil sasayad). I also think these wheels are too lightweight to withstand our awful road conditions. In better roads (abroad), they will work perfectly.

mabigat daw motegi compared to rotas.

i see zero ads for rota, a ton of ads for motegi.

i hear a lot of good and great reviews for rota, none yet for motegi. i spend a lot of time online pa ah.

    you'll get the picture.

Where are you located? Probably royal gunmetal na slipstream. Anything with "royal" sa color niya has a polished lip. or just buy any color, have it powdercoated with polished lip, hehe. mas mapapamahal nga lang.

Maybe that's the J-SPL. You can get that one at a variety of shops. Just hunt around.

You won't get a discount at the factory if you go straight there, though.

Some of their old designs were heavy, true, but a lot of the new ones come in at under 1 lb per inch. The ones I'm using now are about 14 lbs, I think, for 16", and there's a set at 10-11 lbs for 15". Not as light as the original Japanese versions of the design (and in my case, the original Porsche...) but they're less than half the price.

Quality is getting better. Some of the older designs seemed to be made of butter, but the newer ones handle potholes and ruts pretty well. Still, the number one draw of ROTA isn't durability... it's price. A lot of racer-boys use them because they're cheap to replace if you break one... and if you drive hard enough, you will break wheels...

Copycat? Hehe... they'd have to prove it, first... ...but some of the designs now, I think, are original.

I used to have copycat "Grid" mags on my Sentra before. Nice wheels, but I went cheap-ass on the tires... now I've learned... with what I saved on the mags, I went hog-wild on the tires.

most subaru owners do love rotas, hit din yan sa forester community. i was thinking about getting BBS wheels para STi ang dating, but when i found out na filipino made pala and rota, dun na lang ako, mas mura pa.

yup, saka best bang for the buck when using it for Auto-X. Rota was Honda owners best kept secret (Volks replicas)

oo nga pala, most WRX owners in 2003 was honda drivers. Kaya na carry-on ang replica legacy ng Rota.
