Low budget yet good quality tires

Noob question lang regarding speed rating. Will a tire be able to attain speeds above its rating if it is only in bursts (i.e. few seconds only) without blowing up?

I think it would depend bro eh, like how long have you been driving before you decided to go above the rating. Even if burst lang, kung mainit na tires to begin with (long drive on a hot day); masyado risky.

Seriously though, how many times will you be able to reach the top speed rating of your tires? Even more so if you live in Metro Manila. In case your tires are rated 200+ kmh, the question you have to ask yourself is if your car is able to do that or do you have the guts to drive at that speed.

if it is a new, fresh tire, yes.
if it is an old tire, maybe not anymore.

the manufacturer knows for a fact, that we-the-user are stupid.
they have considered that fact of life, when they pasted the ratings on the tire.
so yes. the rated rating is still a few points below the real rating (that only they-the-manufacturer know).

Good day. Ask ko lang. I have unused spare tire na wala pang one year old. and plan ko sana gamitin as my everyday tire para 3 new tires nalang ang bibilhin ko. My concern is due to a long time na naka stock siya. Nag mark yung holding steel sa side.. Actual pic posted. Safe pa kaya siyang gamitin? Thanks in advance

Napaisip lang ako kung safe pa siya gamitin ng makita ko ung mark ng bakal sa side ng goma. Which is medyo malalim ata. Pero wala namang sign ng crack or leak. Medyo natupi lang sa sobra higpit ng pagkaka fix at sa katagalan thank you po

Would you guys get tires made in 2016 or would they be too old? These are Michelin Pilot Sport 3s. My Yokohamas still haven’t arrived even if the dealer said latest 1 week. Gave them til tomorrow before I ask for a refund...
