    Maliit masyado ang wheel well ng Starex vans. Pwede sya maglagay ng 17s but he'll have to match it with 225/45 tires, to thin for a van, imo. Or even 215/50 for that matter kung may scrubbing.

    May nakikita akong madalas sa Mendiola area, lowered Starex van with 17s kaso masyado yatang matigas yung springs, umaalon buong van pag tumatakbo.

    Ok na sakin yung 15" rims na second hand, sa Adventure ko sana kakabit, I'll think I'll spend my money on good tires.

    pero im quite sure na mas mabilis ang 15's.
    sir glenn:::

    heto po ang aking natutunan sa math.

    the perimeter(distance travelled by the tire per revolution) of a circle(or tire, in this case) is calculated by the formula 2*pi*d/2

    pi=3.1416
    d/2=diameter of the circle divided by 2 or the radius

    now for a 15 inch tire: 2*pi*7.5 = 47.124 inches

    for a 17 inch tire: 2*pi*8.5 = 53.4072 inches

    if the rpm is kept constant, it is very evident that the travel of 17 inch tire is farther than the 15 inch tire.

    pero kung parehas lang tire diameter ikakabit, the rim size cancels out.

    my .02 dollar po ser.

    which makes me think that if you change the overall tire diameter from stock to 17's, your odometer's reading will be off by, say, a foot for every rotation. right?

    math!?ano po iyon!?nakakain ba yun!?!herhehrherh..not my fave subject.

    but yes.based on your calculations, at kung pagaganahin ang common sense, kung pareho ng diameter ang gulong (goma) mismo, the rim size is cancellable...

    pero teka...mali ba sinabi ko?tama naman diba?mas maraming distance= "mas malaking area ang nasasakop niya" diba pareho lanbg po iyon?

    ahihihihi..ikaw kasi hiniritan mo ako ng math nagkagulo tuloy utak ko!!ahrhrharh

    ross::: Pwede rin naman ang 16s, babawasan na lang sa sidewall spec ng goma. Yung nakakabit sa Starex namin stock mags pa rin pero pinalakihan ko yung goma, ginawa kong 225/70R15, para di agad masira pagdaan sa mga lubak. 205/70R15 kasi ang stock tires.

    Di po ako familiar sa laki wheel well ng Estima vans. It's quite easy to test for tire match and sizes sa mga tire shops. You can try it on 17s and hope that any tire above 60 series will fit. Medyo safe na yung 60 series which is more common to OE spec sidewall.

    Sir Ungas may idea kaba kung magkano ang 60 s. ng rim 17? planning to buy na kasi. Wala naman akong magiging problema pag kinabit ko sa Estima ko dahil swak na swak ang 17 sa Estima iyan po ang sabi sa akin ng mga tire shop dito sa japan even 18 kaya din but 17 is the best daw no need to make some adjustment.Psensya na wala kasi akong ifea about the tire/rim price sa pnas.Thnx in advance.

    My Estima is using 235X45X17 tires no problem. price of 235X45X17 is 7,600 each Dunlop Leman's. Sa WEST RACING CAR CARE CENTER in front of MILLER WEST. Ewan ko sa ibang brand yung price kapapalit ko lang kasi ng mga tires ko.
