Grupo Auto South aka Laguna Tsikoteers

    How it all started?
The group recalls its roots on www.tsikot.com where members got together on the Laguna Tsikoteers thread. From the thread title which gathered attention of forum members from Laguna came a handful of people who called for a get-together on the first quarter of 2010.

This batch of Laguna Tsikoteers posting members held their first eyeball on early February. Several continuous mini-EBs followed suit every week where each Friday night the group welcomes its new members.

Formal organisation, group identification and promotion came to set place upon each pioneer member’s deliberation on the group’s haven called Bamboo Grille. We wanted to establish a name that implies we are a group promoting camaraderie among fellow car lovers regardless of one’s ride’s make, model, and modification. We wanted to tag a car club in their hometown of the south.

Further aiming at promoting least boundaries from neighboring cities, they didn’t want to seclude the group to the Laguna area, hence dropping such label from the name as Laguna Tsikoteers initially implied. Also, carrying the mother site's Tsikot trade name might mean some conflict of interests for others such as business copyrights. However, we continue to and will always acknowledge it as the group’s grassroots, owing it as the main medium on how we first got to know each other.

Three words came up as an epitome of the fast-growing brotherhood of car enthusiasts in the south area.

    Grupo Auto South is born.

    GAS Mission/Vision
GAS envisions itself as a non-profit, SEC-recognised organisation of automobile enthusiasts, concerned motorists and aspiring members based in the south Luzon area.

    GAS Advocacy
GAS believes in peaceful and safe motoring. It can be achieved through active practice of traffic laws and defensive driving. Each member is hence expected to observe road courtesy at all times.

GAS believes in camaraderie and team effort. Each member is hence expected to be of good rapport with the other, treating him/her with respect and offering necessary help at means one is capable of.
