    Guys,

I'm planning to get the UX 200.

But first I would like to get an idea on the following:

    - PMS cost / maintenance cost in general

    - spare parts availability

    - spare parts costs

    - over all view on the vehicle

    Thanks!

seriously? if you are going to buy a premium brand like Lexus then PMS and spare parts cost should be out of the question.

the only valid thing to ask probably is parts availability. but the dealership of Lexus surely have covered that. they may not have the spare readily on hand but they certainly can order as the need arises.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I just want to have an idea since the price of the UX (2.47M) is relatively near the price of the Rav4 LTD 2019 (2.2M) and the Mazda CX-9 (2.35M).

So if the maintenance cost wouldn't be too bad, I'd go for the UX rather than the Rav4 nor the CX-9.

I've heard that spare parts availability of Mazda is not that good.

these are low volume vehilces. parts availability for these are sparse.

for 2.5M, I would ask Mazda if they will sell the signature or gt line of the cx5. thats their lexus killing machine

I think valid question naman yan tbh, kase ako dream ko magka Lexus kahit yung UX lang diba.

So if pasok naman sa budget yung PMS, why not diba? (assuming you can afford the ammortization..)

    Thanks Sir for the feedback.

UX lang talaga ang Lexus model na medyo malapit price sa other models (na I think high-end din) like CX-9, RaV4 LTD, kaya medyo napaisip ako bigla. Kase dream ko din yan Sir e.

Yung PMS nya is okay naman at 18k/25K pero once a year lang. Yung iba kase like Chevy Trailblazer, inaabot ako ng almost 18K every 6months so in total mas mahal pa sya kase twice a year ang PMS.

Dyan ako nadale kase hindi ako nag research about PMS cost ng Chevy TrailBlazer. And mahal din spare parts nya ha. So if same lang pala maintenance cost sana di na ako nag TB, diretso UX na hehe

Why buy a UX when you already have an X3? If you want a more premium feel and image, get something bigger or more upscale.

Maybe a midsize Euro sedan or SUV like an X5 or 5 series. If that is out of your budget, any of the midsize crossovers (Explorer, CX9, Pilot) will do. Check with Volkswagen, they may still have some units of the Touareg V6 TDI - it shares the same platform as the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne.

Because the wife is a social climber ... She has to be seen in a newer model vehicle ...

Because they can barely afford the cheapest subcompact premium branded vehicle ...

Volkswagen? A common brand for peasants? Heaven forbid!!! That's heresy ... It has to be a premium brand ... Nothing else will suffice ...

A Touareg V6 TDI is priced at 4M but VW was offering them at discount for 3M. With a limited budget for a UX, I guess they can’t afford that.

To address his wife’s desire for premium stuff, I should he should just buy her a Merc A180. Ayan ha, Mercedes na yan sa budget nila. Parang sabi ni Uls, kahit entry level LV basta LV.

Grabe ang effect ng social pressure no?

Di na sapat na may current model car ka (like the guy said a BRV isn't something to be proud of)

Kelangan current model na premium brand

Coz regular cars are just too ordinary

Well I guess it's a sign na umuunlad ang Pinas kasi madami na nakakabili ng bagong oto so having a new car isn't a big deal anymore

It takes more than a brand new ordinary car to impress people these days

Hahaha. It seems like i have become the butt of jokes and sarcasm here. It's my fault for posting nonsense. I get nonsense replies in return. You guys don't know the real situation. I'm just an old retired guy with nothing better to do. I may be old enough to be a father to some of you. Sorry for rubbing anybody the wrong way.

    heh heh.
my advice was good. "get the top of the line, so's there won't be no better choices, because there ain't any available".
if wife wants a lexus, then lexus it shall be.

i wouldn't recommend a tall-ish vehicle. it's not easy to climb in and out of, even if the passenger doesn't complain.
and it gets worse with advancing age.
ah... the travails of the can-affords...
"would it spoil some vast eternal plan... if i were a wealthy man...!"
    heh heh.
