True and if I may add, I think the local spec 328 is even more comparable to the base IS350.

The base IS350 already comes pretty loaded already like 306hp V6, 8speed A/T from the IS-F, RWD, 7" info screen, leather + power/memory seats, 8-park sensors, etc.

So acquisition price we are talking about is 4.3M vs 2.5M.

So hopefully, BMW/Mercedes/Audi reconsider their pricing

TIngin ko wait and see muna ang BMW and Mercedes, kasi siyempre may 'brand' status na sila. Hindi siguro sila makikipag-price war sa Lexus dahil Lexus is trying to catch up. They're not the leader in this space. Some people still see the IS as an overpriced Camry.

Although a bit early to tell, seems like Lexus is fast catching up on BMW and already exceeds Mercedes based on recent sales figures... Philippine car sales figures for February 2013 - News

I agree that BMW/MB may still have a slight edge in terms of image as Lexus is relatively new here. But with the new GS and IS, Lexus obviously offers more luxury, more drivability, much better reliability, at a lower price point.

I hope Lexus continues this momentum and at the same time, pressure BMW/Mercedes enough to offer better value so consumers like us will have more options

Very mean looking IS. Much better looking than that of the IS F Sport imho.

Wala bang spare tire yung IS350 F? Sa Lexus website yung IS350 lang meron naka check sa spare tire.

ser baka ES ang sinasabi mo? kasi same sila basic platform, engine, and drivetrain which is FWD....pero IS is RearWHeel drive...eto latest version 8speed pa na wala ang Camry nyan.... nagmura kasi Japanese cars lately dahil bumaba na taxes/duty for over 3001cc vehicles dahil sa JPEPA....
