The matic tranny of our Pregio van conked out. My options: overhaul would be at least 20K. OR. Better ba to buy surplus? Saan pwede bumili? and how much kaya, ball park figure ok na. All comments will be appreciated. It's my first time to encounter this problemTIA.

October 19th, 2004 09:34 AM #4Why not post the contact info/addy of the reliable a/t specialist? It'll give a lot of guys good info as there are lots of queries we see from time to time on this issue (a/t problems).
If you get surplus, just look around for a good unit (hit or miss lang talaga). You may want to change the seals and fluids as well before you install it.

October 19th, 2004 11:13 AM #5sir very reliable po yung sinasabing mechanic ni rvm519. Toyota brought 12 altis yata or vios all have Automatic transmission problems at yung shop nya po lahat ang gumawa. Nagpasama lang po ako kay rvm519 last time tinext ko po kc sya. Yung mechanic pong sinasabi nya na train pa po yata sa UK. Inside out kabisado nya ang automatic transmission, naggaling na po ako kay lucas pero eto lng po nakasolve ng problem ng A/T ko. Di po kayo magsisisi. Worth it na puntahan.
