Yes, there was a 4wd Kia Besta. It was available with the 2.2 'Magma' engine and had the upmarket 'EST' trim level. They were called 'Rainbow 4wd'. The 4wd option cost an additional Php50K on top of the Php399K selling price of the 2.2 EST.

The 4wd system is shared with the Rocsta AFAIK. It uses auto hubs and a lever operated t-case.

The Mazda Bongo and Ford Econovan 4x4 available at auctions are its mechanical siblings.

I think sa main tranny nakakabit ang speedo cable niyan. Because in 4x2 mode, the transfer case is not moving.

Wala ba ang cable para you can sample it? You'd be amazed at how many common parts Kias have with each other (cost cutting?).
