Kia's Maintenance Check Interval

What is the prescribed maintenance (PMS) interval for Kia vehicles? Does the intervial vary on how heavy the usage is? If usage is very minimal is there a prescribed/suggested interval in terms of months (ie, every 4 months)?

I heard that diesel Carens is for every 5,000KM and the Sportage is 7,500KM but that's how much I know. If I average around 400KM per week, should I go in for maintenance more often?

I think the schedule of 5,000 is for diesel, while 7,500 is for gas. That's what I saw in the boards they displayed, but didn't ask about it.

Gas ung sportage mo sir di ba? Then dapat nga dun ka sa 7500Km per PMS. If you ave 400Km per week, then ok lang na sundin mo ang 7500 interval. Iyong mga sobrang dalang lang ang gamit ( ie 5-6000Km/year ) ang dapat mag worry sa time based PMS. Karamihan kasi sa maintenance items ay mileage based. kalimitang exception ay ang change oil. Imagine kung 3000Km nga lang ang tinakbo mo pero 1 year naman, dapat siguro i change oil na din iyon pagka ganoon. JMHO tho.


PS taas pala ng mileage mo ah. More than 20K per year, mustan naman ride? ala pa ba problem? ako nasa 6,000 Km pa lang in 4.5 months

I just got the car back from casa, clean bill of health naman ... aside from the usual PMS, they cleaned the brakes lang kasi I told them that I had to run it through floods nung bagyo.
As for the ride, I think its gotten better over time ... (or I'm getting used to it hehe). So far, no rattles in or out. Suspension-wise it's like brand new though we've had our share of painful run-ins with Manila and Bulacan's potholes.
The paint is still as shiny ... maybe because I get it waxed once a month :-)

Overall, I am still happy with the Sportage. Good choice in my opinion.

Depends on where you are staying? There's one in Pasig and another one in Pasay.
