Thanks Warp! I will try to look up the website too. The SA I guess was unaware of recent changes being made to their cars. He was as surprised as I was, that I was getting the facelifted version. I suppose information from the top does not trickle down readily.

ganda talaga ng mga kia models ngayon...grabe.. kaya lang puro price increase tapos chop-chop pa lahat ng mga features like airbags and abs... sayang

yung carens na kinuha namin eh LX lang ok sana yung EX kaso walang manual trans eh habol talaga namin 6 speed transmission kaya lang yung EX ganun din kulang kulang mga features...

dapat standard at least ABS...buti pa yung carnival ko dati may ABS and airbags.. maganda kasi may ABS lalo na sa road conditions natin dito sa pinas...

Tama observations mo yapoy86. Just this afternoon I was at Kia Pasig. Sabi ng general manager nila, nag increase na naman daw ang sportage crdi. From 1.130M early this year to 1.210M last June, then nag add ng 25k July 1, tapos mag iincrease na naman daw to 1.310M. Sabi ko, ano sila, hilo?. They are killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.

BTW, can somebody tell me what's the difference between a ventilated(vented) disc from a solid disc? In the previous model, the front brakes are vented while the rear brakes are solid. In the facelifted version, both front and rear are vented. Is that an improvement?

good evening sir Mnmg 2000 the facelifted sportage that you saw without fog lamp was the 4x2 variant (diesel). sir fyi marami rin pong inalis sa facelifted na sportage (4x2) i.e. roof rail, fog lamp, abs, air bag, iluminated key hole.
Di na rin po siya naka leather seat, brake drum sia sa likod, sa front lang siya
vent. disc. there are some other things na inalis nila, i just dont have my complete list.another bad move from CAC Di po ba dapat pag may bagong variant dapat meron additional features or accessories, pero sa kia baliktad sila bagong variant pero marami silang inalis, pero tumaas ang price nila. I just cant see the logic.

Sir share ko lang yon konting alam ko sa tanong mo re: ventilated and solid disc brake. Sir yon pong ventilated disc brake ay may groove sa disc and if i was not mistaken para di ito masyadong mag init and mas maganda ang kapit ng brake pad sa disc brake coz there is a vacuum created by the groove sa disc. Solid disc is just like the ordinary disc brake, plain lang siya. Another type of disc brake is the perforated disc brake which i think is for high speed car.

you're welcome albert_b. Saw your leather steering wheel cover in the sportage accessories thread. Ang ganda lumabas. Planning to have leather seat covers too kasi all fabric seats na yung sa facelifted sportage. Takot nga akong matapunan ng drinks pag nag da drive thru kami. From the other threads, I think Seatmate would be the best place to go to for these. Just don't know exactly where it is, Mandaluyong ba?

Thank you M_Eight. So having a vented front/vented rear disc brakes is an improvement from the previous model's vented front/solid rear disc brakes.
Regarding what you mentioned about the 4X2 Diesel facelifted version sportage having less features and accessories, its just too bad. Tucson on the other hand, has been adding features to their newer models. Not so with CAC
