The all-new Kia Sportage will still be available with both gasoline and diesel engines | TopGear PH

As far as powertrain options go, the Sportage will be available with either a 178hp, 265Nm 1.6 liter TGDi mated to a seven-speed DCT or a six-speed manual, or a 183hp, 417Nm 2.0-liter diesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic.

They are reintoducing AWD, which should attract more. IMO, I like the looks of of this, better than the Tucson in & out. Performance wise, hp down by 2 but torque up by 15. I also read it’s size will be a bit bigger making it’s cabin roomier.
One thing with Sportages, it drives & rides like a sedan, very smooth & quiet with nary a creak.

Most CUVs naman drive like compact sedans on stilts. They offer a much better ride compared to PPVs.

CUVs offer more comfort and a bigger cargo space over compact sedans with the added ground clearance.

I was surprised they came out with a LWB & SWB version. The LWB one isn’t a compact CUV anymore.

    Mazda is doing that also

    The CX-8 is a LWB CX-5 with 7 seats

Now they can make the Sorento bigger without losing a market segment
