    Hello, everyone.

We had chance to test drive 2019 Kia Sportage.

It is a facelift version of 2018 year model. With upgraded powertrain, design and safety features, does it have an edge in

compact SUV market? Let's find out!

Was the test drive in the Philippines? If so, where?

It looks like it was done in Korea. I don't think all the features will reach our shores but I do hope the AWD does.

I think this has been answered, no AWD version. Although, based on the spec sheet, looks like AC Ind. is consistent with the model versions abroad. They do not cannibalize features to fit the country.

Will they be offering the 2019 model here anytime soon? Wala pa ata announcement?

Looking to get my second CUV.

Does the Sportage look like a good over-all choice?

Without the *standard* technology package available in other countries, KIA vehicles in the Philippines will never be a good choice.

Until AC Industrials brings out their other new models, everything is just speculation. I’d rather reserve judgement when those models are finally out in the market.

Let us hope KIA Philippines will bring in the latest version of KIA Sportage without *cannibalizing* the features made available abroad.

Medyo dated na din yan Kia Sportage design, kung ako si Ayala wag na nya ibenta yan, antay na lang sya ng bago Sportage unless of course they offer it at 200k than the CRV diesel

Lets face it sira ang reputation ng Kia ngaun because of the sell-off. You cant just come in and offer a fully loaded unit. Ano yun bigla bibible mga tao? I doubt that

This is a pricelist sent by an agent who added me to her viber. Siguro there are surplus units left from CACC dealers still have. As I recall, AC Ind. will sell 2019 models only. Either way, the 2018 GT-Line is worth checking out since it is more fully featured than the 2019 EX (as I recall, since I erased the brochures already.

I was actually offered a 2018 GT-Line sir Bloo, I might also consider it if the specs are actually better than the 2019 EX variant. I've asked the SA to update me as soon as their 2019 unit comes so I can see them both in person and compare.

Care to join me at KIA-Kalookan? I would value your opinion on this. Sagot ko na po yung pang Jollibee, haha, just kidding. Landers tayo, malapit lang dun.

So many buyers want features ... yet few are willing to pay for it ... they want it for free ...

I live all the way in Parañaque near Alabang bro. I always dread driving up there, but thanks for the trust. Fyi, with the 2018 GT-line, pluses are the enhanced suspension & the Harmann Kardon speakers (they upgrade the stock, if it’s not. Not too sure about the HU if touch screen). It should also be auto light, rain sensing wipers, down & uphill assist, paddle shifter, glove box cooler, driver’s side courtesy light in the handle & mirror & many others. If you have an Apple gadget, Kia has an app in their App Store that tells everything about the Sportage & the features you will look for. It will be a lot of help.

I will actually be coming all the way from Pampanga, I imagine the travel time for you will be just about the same. Haha. I have a brother in Sucat as well. Thanks for the list of features I'm should be looking for. I just hope they haven't removed them yet.

Yesterday I spotted one of the few Sportys I know living in our area, owned by a doctor, it seems. It had the 19-inch rims and the dark blue color. Napapatingin talaga ako everytime I see it.

Will update as soon as I go on that test drive.

Different rims and fog lamps sir Bloo.

Even if it the local version doesn't look exactly like this though, I would be happy if they kept all of the features listed in the brochure they sent me as well.
