another unveiling at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show:
2006 Kia Sedona

>>release:2005
>>engine: 3.8L V6 244hp (5-speed automatic)
>>standards:6 airbags,ABS,fold-flat 3rd-row seat,power sliding doors,liftgate

it's a wait-and-see if this Korean minivan will be a major competitor against America's minivan greats triumvirate :Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, Chrysler Town&Country/Dodge Grand Caravan or will it just play second fiddle like the likes of Ford Freestar,GM minivans-Uplander,Montana,Relay,Terraza and Mazda MPV?

Definitely a good competitor for the american market! With increased popularity of KIA, its something worth to be considered in the future. KIA Sorento already has been making an astounding and remarkable response from consumers.

front reminds me of the Rexton. Rear styling is SUV-ish

Lets all wish that it doesn't sell that well here if ever its introduced in the future.

Otherwise, you will see prices skyrocket like the Sorento and Picanto.

hopefully hindi lang cosmetic facelift ang ginawa. Poor fuel consumption ang issue ng previous edition because the sedona weighs much more than its competition. Plus the wiiiide turning radius, where they able to fix this?

The old Sedona had poor fuel consumption because of the way it was built.

Car & Driver put one on a lift and showed how similar the Sedona is to a truck-based SUV. Everything is either made of thick steel or is reinforced.
