i both owned xwind 05 and innova 06. mabilis at may power ang innova. low torque ang xwind.

Yung Crosswind talaga, pang-durability and practicality lang iyan. Pagdating sa speed, tatahimik yan. Max yata niyan is 150kph, sumisigaw na yung makina nun ng " TAMA NA... " while ang Innova kaya pumalo ng 160-170kph with ease. Diesel, of course.
no offense meant to isuzu owners but as per experience between a 2.5 isuzu fuego and a 2.4 hilux, the hilux has a better (lower) gearing on the 1st gear on uphill climbing (from a stand still then climb an approximately greater than a 45 deg slope)....still, isuzu is isuzu.
Just what I remember before, correct me if I am wrong![]()
I 2nd d moshondriven both the xwind and innova... innova will smoke the xwind given the same driver skills and, (this is important) the same driver nerves and balls (of steel if I may say). on a flat highway, xwind will top out at 140-150kph, but it will need a looooooong road to reach this speed. innova tops out at around 160- i'd say 170. at 165kph, lapit na sa redline innova. xwind reaches redline * 145 kph, and it's engine is screaming and screeching out loud. careful when you do these speed tests, requires precision adjustments sa steering and good judgement of road conditions.
but going back to topic,
tune up?
well, aside from the usual change oil/filters (oil, fuel, air)/valve adjustments/change fluids (brake fluid and PS)/aircon cleanup, check your shock absorbers, check your bushings, check your leaf springs (believe me, they can get cracked in due time when you're regularly driving over potholes and rough roads), ball joints, tie-rods, connecting rods, pitman arms, brake pads...and occassionally, check for radiator leaks, and broken exhaust manifolds.
that's all i can think of... sali mo na rin check or change batteries every 2 - 3 years depending on how well you take care of your batteries.
TIA!
^nakapagpa fuel filter change na ako last Black Sat, sinama ko na tune up. Sunday morning, I was able to hit 110kph in EDSA, la naman ako naramdamang drag(hopefully wala na nga hehe).
went to Dallas T. Morato
tune up - p700
fuel filter - 300(bosch)
adjust/tighten belts - 250
TOTAL of Php1250
