im in manila for a vacation and drove my trooper...

just want to know if I am the only one that has a trooper that the warning signal is connected to the open door (1st time to experience one)... still cant figure out what else is connected coz the car just sometimes let the warning lights turn on.... can anyone tel me what are actually connected to those warning lights (hazard)... its a bit annoying.

when im cruising around 100/120... minsan nag o-on yun signal, i 1st thought na may limiter but the speed is not consistent... my guess is, my rear door is shaking at that speed and the car thinks that a door is open kaya nag sisignal ulit...

can anyone enlighten me or have a way to remedy the unnecessary hazard lights.

The rear door is aligned well and im sure its close... is there a problem with the door sensor?

most likely, someone has experienced this also so please help!

    thanks!

the hazard light of the trooper lights up/flashes whenever one of the doors is ajar while the engine is on. so baka one of your doors e maluwang na or yung round rubber na nakakabit sa door mo na tumatama dun sa trigger switch para mag-on yung ilaw sa loob e hindi tumatama dun sa switch.

cta2: di ka nagiisa ganyan din trooper namin. I think it for safety narin so that you are well informed with regards doors open or properly close.

I suggest you inspect all 5 doors including the one at back baka meron di naka sara mabuti or the sensor is busted.

Yup same here. Nung una sabi sa akin ng bayaw ko nag-oon daw yung hazard kapag mabilis ang takbo or biglang preno, but then I never experienced it when I'm the one driving, mabilis man o biglang preno. I think it's just your door as boybi emphasized.

    thanks everyone...

I have this big feeling its my rear door... and when you travel fast tumatalbog...

Im thinking of extending the bolt, that pushes the switch for the door sensor...

please reply if there are tried and tested means if you have remedied yours =)

OT - can anyone also tell me where I can get one cheap rubber end for the step board... mine just fell off!...

    thanks

Lest you forget, check also the sensor that detects the opening of the engine hood. You can locate this adjacent to the serial number decal of the unit. This is where I found the problem of intermittent activation of the warning signal with my ride. The position of this sensor is quite easy to adjust; simply unscrew, adjust the position of the sensor, and then retighten the fixing nut. That's all there is to it.

I just came from a trip to Laguna yesterday. My trooper 98 V6 warning lights [CHECK TRANS] went on everytime I reach 120km/h. Tapos hihinto ako. Turn off engine then on again and the light goes off. Then on again EVERYTIME I reach 120km/p. What's going on. Hindi naman siguro sa door.

I am not sure if this is the same problem you've had since I don't know if we have a similar version.

Anybody who knows of this? Is this a 'speed limiter' or is there such a thing?

    Hope you can help.

The check trans light on the Trooper is not a speed limiter but signifies an intermittent fault. It could be as simple as a lose connection to something more complex like a slipping torque converter.

Bring it to the dealer and have them hook up to a scan tool like a GM Tech II. If the scan tool doesn't detect any codes at KOEO or KOER, then it needs to remain hooked up to record data and your 120kph condition duplicated.

If there are still no codes present then pinppoint testing using a symptom chart need to be done.

check the manuals or bring it to isuzu dealership for questions. Baka kasi may depekto mga trooper models nila para marecall pa

papabravo, mine and johnq's trooper are both v6, never did i encounter ur problem, i will suggest you to do what johnq told....i was told by the casa that v6 trooper(6vd1 engine) uses the tech1 scanner, sa isuzu quezon ave meron, the other dealers carry the tech2 na kse yun ang gamit sa 3.0 crdi engine ng trooper.

papao, yung check engine light a.k.a CEL is more common sa mga v6 engines, usually related w/ the egr and pcv. not sure w/ the 2003 mdl w/ diesel engine

yung sa patrol ko dati, kapag tumakbo ako past 120kph, umiilaw din yung check engine light. yung MAF sensor ko pala sira. baka ganyan din sa mga trooper.
