Ok naman ang trooper. Nothing fancy, conservative ang design,solid ang ride and most of all matibay ang pang ilalim as in pang TRUCK. I believe sa moto niya na Reliability is Everything. Old school UBS ang mas gusto ko. Less computers, injection pump fuel system and gear driven. Maingay pero matibay.

But if you want a powerful and sophisticated engine mag trooper 4jx1 ka lintek ang lakas ng makina. May downs lang siya pero kung kaya ng budget i think ok siya.

tootsie--- meron kami yun 2003 trooper.. before the skyroof.... just wana let the other trooper owners post their ride aslo... hehehehe..... . yup the 4jx1 is a maintainance gusler model but very good power... commonrail na rin kc and DOHC pa... just replaced the injectors but under warranty kc napasok pa my unit sa mga defective injectors talaga.. now they have replaced it with more durable injectors... and the skyroof model has an upgraded version sa injectors.. euro3.. ours is still euro2 but upgraded na rin and matibay.... kaya hindi dapat mag worry ibang owner ng trooper or aspiring owners kc IPC has improved the injectors.. lualaki lang ang prob when pinapatagal pa ang pag paaayos sa trooper mo kaya fuel and oil mixes and may cause damage to some other parts sa engine... once meron naramdaman na iba sa andar ng trooper.... ipacheck agad sa casa... meron din isang trooper kasabay pumasok samin... pinag overhaul kc matagal na pala ang prob niya sa injectors and matagal din pinsaok sa casa.. hayun nadamay ibang parts sa engine....

1st time diesel user

totally happy with the car, black smoke appeared... 1st 5T Km... after that everything went better... not used to smoke coz 1st time diesel user

each time I service my trooper (casa all the way) the car performs better... faster, less smoke... though service is a bit high... currently in 40TKm...

Power and comfort really good for a diesel SUV... no problem on reliability since new... everything works from day 1

I have noticed, black smoke is common when engine is cold... but true for all diesel cars

good mileage inspite of heavy foot (better than my wife's sentra)... made me a diesel covert more pros VS cons

No problems with my 2002 Trooper . . . after finally pinalitan ng Isuzu Alabang ang fuel injectors.

Only problem is high cost of periodic maintenance service every 5,000 kms. Since mag 5 years na ito by January, am thinking of not having it serviced at the casa anymore.

Just got a new Strada 2.5 GLS AT, and will be very interested in observing the comparative performance and maintenance cost versus the Trooper.

malaki talaga difference ang dalawa and hinid masyado ma compare ang engine maintenance ng dalawa kc kung tutu-usin mas advance parin ang 4jx1 ng trooper kesa strada...
