guys, patulong naman, i had our isuzu crosswind xuv's oil changed, nabasa ko sa manual na 5 liters of oil ang i-rerefill kung papalitan din din yung filter, which is the case. napansin ko na mukhang 5 liters is too much nung tinignan ko sa dipstick, it was over the 2 marker holes sa dipstick, and i also observed na medyo matagal mag-off yung oil pressure light, i have already drained 1/2 liter of oil, pero mukhang overfilled parin. ilan po ba talaga ang oil capacity ng crosswind? thanks peeps in advance!!! and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

i don't know about crosswinds, pero yung sa frontier namin with 2.7L engine parang 6-7liters ata. yung sa 4D56 na 2.5L 6 liters, tama ba? and yung crosswind diba 2.5L din yung engine? so hindi ba kulang ang 5liters?

the long answer: I myself has been wondering why is it that everytime I have my PMS done at the casa, they always charge me for 5 liters of engine oil tapos may sobra laging 1 liter which they give to me (in fairness to the casa). then one time, I did the oil change myself and bought 5 liters of oil. I was surprised to find out that after loading 4 liters, abot na sa full mark yung dipstick. baka they intentionally charge 5 liters para yung extra 1 liter can be used for refilling by the user. sabi nung mekaniko nakausap ko when I did my oil change, 4 liters lang daw talga capacity ng 2.5 L diesels. sinosobrahan lang minsan in case kulang yung 4 liters.
hope this helps.

guys thanks for the replies!!!
rsnald and jake, thanks for the info, so that explains why my engine is still overfilled, ipapa-drain ko na yung excess.
thanks again guys!!!

When i read the manual of our Frontier, the 2.7 requires 5+ something liters of oil with the filter... nalabuan din ako coz when i got to the casa, they say 6-7L yung kailangan. :?
I havent gotten a change oil outside the casa since tha car was still under warranty until my last service stop. Check ko the next time around.
BTW, ouir family driver's nephew worked sa Nissan Ortigas before. He was able to change the oil of our car before by just using the leftover oil that accumulated from the other cars that were being serviced.

konti lang pala langis ng 4ja1 compared to other diesels with the same displacement ano. c240 has about 7 liters of oil parang 4d56.

amacatan, ang isa pang cause niyan is kulang ang oil mo, check mo oil level sa dipstick and refill if necessary.
