The Toyota Fortuner will come out with 2 engines: 3.0L diesel and a 2.7L gas. This is the same set-up they did for the Hi-lux. Likely it'l be available in a 4x4 only.

Sa Thailand kasi, they are marketing the Innova as the 4x2 small SUV while the Fortuner as the 4x4 medium SUV >>> available in 2 grades (G & V).

Bigger ang MU-7 kesa Fortuner. MU-7 would have the same wheelbase of the D-Max. (3,050 mm) >>> Making it even slightly longer than the Trooper. FYI, wheelbase of Fortuner is THE SAME as Innova.

The horsepower of the Fortuner is publicly rated as 120kw (SAE NET) while the MU-7 as 107kw (ECE NET) >>> engines tested under different conditions >>> therefore cannot be directly comapared with each other. (Both Fruits but one is an apple and the other is an orange)

If there are engineers around, kindly enlighten me... Feeling ko lang, mas malakas pa din talaga ang engine ng MU-7....

I heared the MU-7 will be introduced in July pa. Natakot ata ang Isuzu na baka maubusan sila ng benta if ever the Fortuner comes out next month.. kaya naglabas na sila ng teaser ad.. hehehe. Sayang, hindi natin ma-compare kagad kasi hindi sabay ang launch.

MU7 will only have 146 hp max while fortuner will have 160 hp for the D4D engine and 158 hp for the vvti engine

based on what i saw on the web, the adventure master looks "almost" the same as the MU7....meron lang konting differences.....di bale, ill try to do my assignments and collect more information about these two products (MU7 and the Fortuner)....kaya lang, would like to ask nga sana kung meron mga engineers dito to confirm yung nabasa ko na sinulat ni benzmizer about the difference between the SAE NET (toyota) and the ECE NET (MU7)...this might be a "telling" difference with regards to the power of both engines.....di kase ako isang engineer e.....hehehe

Bro, i think we should also consider the weight of the vehicle. Altis is a passenger car, actually the 1.8 VVT-i variant has 145hp. The Fortuner is a lot heavier than the Altis thats why its 2.7 VVT-i engine has 163hp.

Correct me if im wrong..just my opinion.

bro i was talking bout the engine, i meant that with a displacement of almost 1k cc higher, the 2 engines has only 18hp difference..i expected it to be higher..although shempre malaki difference sa torque.
