    When I'm driving the MB100, I always tell myself this has got to be way better than the I-Van. And the MB140 (long wheelbase) was also capable of seating 15 persons in relative comfort.

    Di OK ito. Mahina ang hatak dahil sa bigat ng kaha at doble aircon, di gaanong kaya ng 2.8L engine. Siguro sana nilagay nila yung 4.3L. Yung isang ninong ko merong Isuzu NKR with the 4HG1 engine na ginawa niyang FB body for business use. Nilagyan niya ng dual aircon at pinamodify yung likod para malagyan ng removable captain seats. Mas maganda ata yung ganon kesa sa i-Van.

    Kung 4.3L engine for a van overkill na yan. Mahina lang talaga makina. Kahit 2.5 lang basta CRDi eh ok na. Mabigat din kasi kaha. I-Van is wrong car in the sense that it used parts (and the overall design) not designed for a van.

    sabi ko nga dati Isuzu Phils had to come up with a way to get rid of those NHRs

    kaya gumawa sila ng iVan. wala kasi laban sa Hiace, Urvan

    kaya lang di tanga ang buyers. who the hell will buy something like that? truck na pilit ginawang passenger van na 2nd/3rd class build quality ng katawan

    Wala na kasi yung problematic 3.6L 4BE1. So yung natira nalang yung 4.3L nila which is available in the 4 wheeler, narrow body NKR variant (parehong pareho sa NHR in appearance). Inline 4 din naman kasi yan so hindi rin ganon ka lakas. 121hp*3000rpm and 333Nm*1800rpm. For such a heavy vehicle, it will be sufficient to move it at a decent pace probably similar to the competition considering that most budget 12-15 and above passenger vans have around 80+ to 100+hp. Mas mahal pa siguro if they will use the newer 3.0L 4JJ1 employed in the all new Elf, available already in other countries. And don't forget the brakes, jeepney-like drums on all fours!

    Very halfhearted attempt talaga ito, sayang lang ang pinang-develop nila kung di man lang nila aayusin. The NHR-PV/Flexi-Truck was already quite successful. I see quite a number of these used as school bus or shuttle service. They could've just brought in the Journey, Isuzu's challenger in the minibus category, instead the same way Mitsubishi brought in the Rosa minibus.

    Puede po ba malaman kung "Standard" sa Isuzu iVan ang magaspang na finish ng front bumper? or nakalimutan lang i glossy finish matching the body?
    Kung ganun kasi ka rough, madaling kapitan ng dumi, unlike kung finish talaga, maaring punasan lang ang dumi.

    Hindi yan nakalimutan i-glossy finish. Ganun talaga yan. But I believe the basic NHR and all other N-Series trucks for that matter use the same kind of bumper. Ang advantage ng ganong klaseng bumper is that it is more resistant to abuse as compared to glossy bumpers.

    sayang nga yun effort sa design di maganda maingay at matagtag...mas gusto ko pa yun urvan kahit luma na yun design...kahit mukang malaki parang konti naman yun maikakarga...mas ok pa yun isang NHR nila my body

    kung pampasada ok ang i-van. lalo na kung mas mura piyesa kesa toyota hi-ace at mas madali imaintain. ang maganda nito kung sakaling mag-kayupi baka simpleng latero kaya ayusin. simple lang itsura eh.
    at secondary na lang naman concern natin sa comfort ng pasahero. basta dami hakot, dami kita.

    OK naman ang i-Van. Napakatibay. Kung kulang sa hatak dahil sa bigat, turbocharged naman kaya malaking improvement with alcohol injection. Napakamura ng maintenance. Concern ko lang ang solidity ng body. Baka ilang taon palang bugbog na bugbog na. Marami na akong nakitang FB type na ayos pa ang cab pero yung rear body sobrang bugbog.

    Ang Hiace OK. Malakas humatak, matipid pa sa krudo. Yun nga lang sakit sa bulsa pagdating ang maintenance. Kapag may electronics na papalitan napakamahal kasi CRDi na siya. You may want to consider the previous gen Hiace para mura ang maintenance.

    Baka mainteresado ka sa 2nd hand o kaya Korean surplus na long wheelbase turbo intercooler Starex. Malakas humatak, kumportable pa. Siguradong puno kaagad.

    Can somebody confirm If this Isuzu Ivan design came from our neighbour Indonesian? Andami kasing variant ng models ng Ivan (Elf Microbus) duon parang matagal na nilang ginagamit as public transport
