what's so special about making patong iba't ibang klaseng katawan sa chassis ng truck?
anyone can do that
i guess Isuzu thinks pinoys are so stupid that they have to pay Centro to build a variety of bodies to show pinoys what the NHR can be used forLast edited by uls; February 23rd, 2012 at 04:16 PM.

I've also seen some wide-bodied Grandias (so GL yun with kit, I'm supposing) doing ambulance duties. They're after all safety and integrity tested as vans already, so adding a light bar and some kit would not really change their composition. At P1.245M + kit, I'm guessing it won't be significantly more expensive compared to the I-Van.
Isuzu had better re-think their strategy. It will definitely not be good for them to have bad press -- like an I-Van ambulance or schoolbus causing injury or worse to their occupants.

February 23rd, 2012 08:50 PM #107kahit sa ilang thread na mitsubishi or isuzu ms kompressor., mdami din ngsasabi sakit sa ulo mitsubishi nila, malakas kumain ng diesel..,mdami sympre mitsu fans ang madalas nila na gud coment eh ms comfort and mabilis kumpara sa isuzu... mostly.. mitsubishi may outrun the sales of isuzu in total because they have sedans ang a lot of variety in vehicles... pero sa truck sales... isuzu will still win... kumbaga ung isuzu pg dating sa trucks mala (tito, vic and joey) ang mga mitsu at ibp eh (willy revillame,randy,vice..etc..)

Again, hearsay, hearsay, hearsay. Plus, the people being used in comparison makes no real sense at all. Siguro ang ibig sabihin niya sa Isuzu=tito vic and joey eh pang comedy and pang unang panahon na entertainment lang ang Isuzu.
Gotta love discussions with fanboys who always end up shooting their own feet with their own gun.
No matter what you do Isuzu fanboy pretending not to be a sales agent, you can't sell me the i-ban. Give it a chance? Hell no. I'd rather spend my P1.2M++ on something na hindi pinilit.

Sa totoo lang there's nothing really wrong with Isuzu being a car/truck manufacturer (I loved the Gemini diesels of the 80's). The thing I really find terribly wrong here is how Isuzu Philippines currently market their products to us. If they only offered their modern DiD engines and price competitively with other car makers, malamang everyone will switch to Isuzu utility vehicles. Kaso hindi eh. Ang ginagawa nila:
- old technology being dumped in the Philippines and selling them at high prices for profit and using nothing but their self-proclaimed name to vouch for its value
- gagawa ng isang bagay na not intended for it's use and ibebenta ng pagkamahal-mahal, like the i-ban, and again gagamitin ang isuzu brand kasi "reliable"
- gagawa ng isang variant ng AUV na napakalayo ng presyo sa mga counterparts and hindi man lang matapatan ang safety features and amenities ng competition, kasi may mga uninformed buyers pa rin sa lalawigan who are stuck to the 80's in terms of technology. Yes, maraming may technophobia sa mga probinsya and sila ang nagagatasan ng profits because of the self proclaimed "reliability" sales pitch
Again as far as giving the i-ban a chance, no need kasi sigurado meron at merong bibili nito because of brand loyalty/fanboyism especially sa mga probinsya. Yun lang, kawawa naman sila. They're not getting what they're paying for.
