do i need to change oil within some period of time though i haven't reached 5k kms? please advice, maraming salamat!

February 8th, 2010 06:41 PM #1204I am experiencing that too in my 08 XTi, in my case nga pag nag accelareate ako at paglampas ng 2k rpm nag jejerk na on 2nd and 3rd gear. nag jejerk din while on high speed (100 to 120 kph). I complained this to Isuzu commonwealth and they said na obserbahan daw muna baka daw fuel lines and problema. Mga sirs, please advice us on this matter....
One more observation ko sa commonwealth, they are using DELVAC OIL instead of the IGMO and they also putting oil and diesel additives. Is this correct? Pati rin sa steering fluid, coolant, hub grease, etc. ibang brand na ginagamit nila. Originally sa Isuzu alabang ako nag papaservice, but we had transferred na sa qc kaya sa commonwealth na pinakamalapit sa akin.

That is correct. 3 months or 5k whichever comes first. Remember, ang buhay ng diesel engine ay nasa langis. Do use the car as often as possible. Moving parts of the vehcile needs to be lubricated.... and this can be achieved thru regular use.
IMHO, they should use IGMO and other Genuine ISUZU products on your car... unless you instruct them to use otherwise. Alam ko yung coolant at engine oil may Genuine ang ISUZU. So at the least, they should use those.

*kaloy228, benzmizer, thanks a lot!
in a week i use my ride mga 2-3x only. more often just around the neighborhood. and either saturdays or sundays which is a scheduled family day, i run my ride for 20-25kms only. minsan once a week ko lang nagagamit. masama parin ba yun? parang hinayang kasi ako sa oil baka lang puwede pa. anyway i'll just have to follow your advice para walang mangyaring problema sa ride ko.
salamat ng marami!

February 10th, 2010 02:20 AM #1207sir, sa nissan sentra nga namin nung una wala pa sportivo, hindi masyado nagagamit kasi may motorcycle ako which i use to work and some errands. i change the oil every 3mos. then considering the cost, i now use synthetic oil and have it changed every 6mos. so twice a year nalang ako magpalit ng oil sa kotse. sa motorcycle ko naman i use semi-synthetic oil and have it changed every 3mos. mura lang naman kasi oil ng mc. now i try to juggle in using the 3 vehicles so the oil deposits won't form in the engine. minsan nga hindi ko na nagagamit mc ko dahil mas fond kami gamitin ang sportivo dahil bago eh, nagtatampo yung mc ko. ang tagal mgstart. kaka-ilang banyak na ako sa crank kasi ayaw gumana ng electric start. advise ko sa iyo sir try to use your car every other day.

February 10th, 2010 02:01 PM #1210good question sir...kasi yung crosswind ko parang wala din indicator light kapag malapit na maubos ang fuel..but lets wait for other replies...but base on what I experienced with my ride...kapag nakatapat na yung needle pointer ng fuel gauge mo dun sa "E" dun sa makapal na line, you have roughly around 10 liters +/- 3 liters on your tank...maybe you are wondering paano ko na gauge?minsan nasa ganun scenario na yung crosswind ko tumapat na sa "E" yung needle pointer nya then I gas-up but unfortunately gasoline ang naload nung gasoline girl so what they did is drain the tank..and they get around 15 liters (around 3 liters dun ay gasoline)....
Haha well it's been "coming" since 2021 with no given launch date The fact that they're not...
