Help, Problem with Power Steering - Isuzu Alterra

Hi Guys,

have any of you experienced problems in power steering ?
i had my Alterra checked by my mechanic and he said that there is a problem with some oil seal resulting to the ATF fluid not flowing properly and dripping. He said that a Power steering / Rack and Pinion repair kit would fix it. however, i could not find that said kit for an alterra.

basically the problem is, the ATF fluid is dripping and the steering wheel is really hard to steer. its like there is no power steering at all.

need your inputs guys and how to address the problem.
currently , my alterra is undergoing diagnostics in CASA. the maintenance person in the CASA said, if what my mechanic said is true, they do not replace oil seals but only replace the assembly itself which will cost hundreds of thousands

sir kung ganun naman kamahal dalhin mo nalang sa banawe... ang alam ko dyan nasa 2.5k lang yan including the repair kit.... not sure lang at alterra ang ride mo ha... pero i have seen benz, nissan, bmw, honda almost all makes ang models there...

near yan sa dating PCSO... if galing kang quezon ave... mag araneta ave. going to the old pcso office... then turn right sa aurora... kung hindi sa unang kanto sa 2nd na kanto turn right.. makikita mo madaming maliliit na shop dun na gumagawa ng power steering... wag ka matakot at expert sila pag dating sa power steering at rack n pinion....

i have the same problem at ang mahal ng bagong assembly =(

Sir napagawa mo na ba yung rack and pinion ng alterra mo pwede bang malaman kung saan mo pingawa ang mahal ng assembly grabe

Sadyain mo na lang sa banawe sir yung na mention na shop sa previous post. Masakit yung 100k assembly sa casa.
