nabasa ko sa isang aussie offroading forum dati, yung 4x4 nya na 4JA1 isuzu engine, inabot yata ng 500,000km+ before he had it overhauled.

yeah, and speaking of offroading, it took alot of beating.

pero maybe it is already engine swaped to 4ja1. sa pagkakaalam ko kasi walang 4ja1 na 4x4 na nirelease ng isuzu. not very sure :dunno:

kurek pre, hindi orig na isuzu yung 4x4 rig. sinalpakan nya lang ng 4ja1. range rover yata na luma...ewan,. saka di nya yata masyado gamit sa offroading, pang drive around lang sa outback. anyways... i cant really attest if the 4ja1 will reach more than 500,000 km. 235,000km pa lang odo ko eh... wait another 8 years to see kung abot ng 500,000 km :D

interms easiy maintenance the 4ja1 is better.. very simple and basic engine..
durability.. very well kown and 4ja1 for its reliability... been used by isuzu over a decade now..
Fc.. matipid din kahit hindi pa crdi...
power... d4d takes the place but hindi naman mahina ang 4ja1 kaya din nito humila ng mabigat na load...
noise.. championa gn 4ja1 nyan but niose is due to a timing gear system which doesnt need to change for alifetime... d4d uses the timing belt which you ahve to replace it every 80,000kms or 100,000
