My rear shocks are busted again (blame isuzu for subcontracting substandard shocks).

Anyway, Im planning to change to KYB gas adjust soon (after my warranty claim) since I'm pretty sure it won't last long.

Is the KYB standard among pick-ups? I mean do I have to look for a product code before buying or do i just have to show the sample of my existing shocks for the measurements? What are the possibilities of getting one compatible for my rig? Hope its easy to find.

Has anyone tried KYB's on their DMaxs? Inputs are highly appreciated.

    TIA

Djerms, gas adjust (although hindi sila adjustable) ang shocks ko sa trooper...wala naman akong naging problema at saka 800 a pop lang sila noon...

    Jason,
Pautang. hehe. Mahal ang OME eh. Pag nagkapera ako upgrade nalang ako-pag may extra in the future.

    MR,
Likod lang papalitan ko kasi yun lang naman ang busted. Chaka na yung harap pag may nasira na. Mahirap kabuhayan ngayon eh.

    Kimps,
So ang hahanapin ko lang is KYB for 4x4 pick-ups? I mean is it a standard size for pick-ups? Okay ang KYB, tried and tested ko na din yan before sa L200 ko (tho 4x2 yun).

Up ko lang and follow up question:
Is it okay if I put gas type shocks in the pick-up rear or should it be fluid type? I'm also considering Monroe Magnum 60's as it si within my budget also. Have anyone tried this?

Pareho pala tayo kim. Pero halata na ang edad mo kasi mas mahal na nung panahon ko. hehehe. No complaints. Pati passengers ko walang reklamo.

Yung sa Monroe, medyo matigas yung Monromatic series na nakakabit sa Vitara. O baka dahil magaan lang talaga yung Vitara. hehehe.

    'Tep,

I was thinking of the Magnum series. Magnum 60 to be exact. Already inqured from our friend in 4x4ph regarding availability for Dmax. And meron daw sila. But i'm still wondering how it compares vs. kyb gas adjust vs oem.

Haven't tried Magnums yet. I usually get KYB's. Hindi maganda review ng Monroe sa 4x4wire. And kahit U.S. site siya, budget conscious pa din mga tao so you won't hear everyone clamoring for Bilstiens, Ranchos, etc.

yes gas shocks ang OEM ng D-max they are made by Tokico or KYB. will check I think we have some lying around. If you want to save try to get na lang other kind of branded shocks. Sayang pera mo sa KYB, for me its worst than the stock.

KYB gas-adjust for DMAX
