6 speed transmission with lock up torque converter, this explains rpm reduction from 1,800 rpm to 1,500 rpm upon reaching the speed of 100 kph at 6th gear. It is also noticeable when lock up mode disengages when engine rpm goes back to 1,800 rpm but still in 6th gear. This happens when there's gradual change in road grade while at 6th gear then engages again when the road levels back. One can try this by setting cruise control at 100 kph and observe rpm as the road grade changes.

Does the new 6AT still have the grade logic feature? I think I read somewhere na same daw ito sa gamit ng new Fort/Hilux. The old 5AT also cruises at 1800RPM at 100km/h, mas ok nga yan lalong bababa pa. 😄

Yes it also has grade logic feature, the lock up only disengages when going up grade at rpm speed of 1,500 to use maximum torque of the engine at the lowest rpm which starts at 1,800 but at higher speed and rpm above 1,800 it remains activated even going a little uphill. This feature is only working when in 6th gear.
Maybe they used the same transmission pero walang jerking problem ang MU-X hopefully wala kasi very smooth talaga ang shifting.
Ok rin yung 1,800 rpm at 100 kph ng 5 speed same lang ng rpm ng 6 speed transmission ng Ford at 100 kph.

Anyone experienced the door handle lock not working? I’m also getting a Turn The Power Off warning message each time I fold the side mirrors:turn off the engine. I think they could be related.

I have read the updated brochures for the blue power d-max and mu-x then found out na nasa 76ltrs yung tank capacity ng d-max while yung mu-x nasa 65ltrs parin? Lol bakit di pa nila ginawang same na lang? Kasi yung ibang ppvs more or less nasa above 70ltrs eh maliban sa bagong monty na parang nasa 68ltrs lang ata.
Ang porma na talaga sa loob ng 2018 mu-x sa china. Naging luxurious na din yung dating, di na tulad ng dati na may pagka-utilitarian.

Meanwhile, in the PH. Expect models sold here to be “watered down” to satisfy the price sensitive market.

mas maganda yun bluepower dito. from what I can see sa mga photos sa link
yun power windows buttons, diresto pa din dyan, yun sa kin pataas, 45 degree angle, mas accessible
no snap on compartment sa top yan
no upper glove box compartment yan
it used the updated TBZ aircon control config, for me mas ok pa din ang dial type. ang comment nga sa bagong TBZ ngaun, parang crosswind lang daw yun aircon controls lol
and the touchscreen, it doesn't even fit the dash. anu ba yan? the current 8in Touchscreen looks more elegant in term of positioning, katulad ng ranger wildtrak ko.

Yung design ng dashboard ang tinutukoy ko OB, tsaka yung panels din kasi yun nga ang nirereklamo dati diba? And syempre, mas malakas parin yung 3.0 blue power kaysa 1.9 blue power.
Nung unang labas yung d-max at mu-x, mapapansin na agad sa interior yung materials eh. Nung napansin ko yung quality ng plastics, naramdaman ko na parang may pagkahawig sa 2nd gen na avanza. Tadtad siya ng hard plastics tas di gaano appealing yung tunog sa pagsara ng pinto. I know kasi my fam used to have a 2012 avanza and ganun yung build quality compared sa innova.
Ngayon ginawa na nilang leather or soft pad sa dashboard kaya mas um-ok na yung feel. Pero di ko parin trip yung dalawang vents sa gitna tsaka yung a/c dial. Parang ang generic kasi tingnan eh. Hindi premium, di tulad ng nasa china ngayon, at least mas sarado na sa hitsura ng mga nasa competition.
Di na sana sila gumawa ng update na yan kung maayos naman pala yung unang design sa tingin ng karamihan. At least ngayon gumawa na sila ng paraan para mabago yun.![]()
