The minor nip/tuck on the MUX BluePower made such a huge improvement to its overall appeal.

The more aggressive front, the bigger rims, the rear spoiler. All minor things but it makes the MUX look more upscale now, up to par with the Fortuner and Everest.

Outstanding performance from the 3.0 engine, and feature set is pretty good as well. I'm now feeling a tinge of regret that we didn't get the MUX.

Then again, the MUX's biggest achilles heel, its interior, remains unadressed. And handling is still floaty as ever.

Overall, I think the MUX got the makeover it deserves, and can now compete toe to toe with the Everest Trend and Fortuner instead of being just a "cheaper option".

My fortuner 2.4 is noisy specially when you push it. The montero is > mux > fortuner. You buy the fortuner nowadays just for the badge and pafa masabing may fortuner ka. Want a toyota, buy an LC.

I already have the 265/60 in the mean times. probably just change it to 255/60 once the tires needs changing. For now, I'll just keep the 265/60 for maybe a year. Is it okay to use the same rims with different tires?

The leather seats of the blue power are softer than the previous model and more comfortable than the Everest, the door sidings also have leather trims sana lang they made the steering wheel a bit smaller in diameter and increased the thickness of the grip.
I prefer the bigger interior vantage point of the MU-X than most PPVs even on the 3rd row seats, it creates a more relax feeling specially on long drives.

It's not just the leather. The steering wheel and dashboard design just don't look worth 1.8M.

The Chinese model MUX fixed that, too bad it's not coming out here.

Saka paint ng Isuzu di ko type. Parang ordinary paintlang, di tulad ng if Iba cars ko parang may kaliskis na design, can't explain eh parang yun iba kulay pag Tirik araw.

Eh Isuzu parang tinipid talaga, though feels solid, it doesn't feel premium. So totoo pala na 1.8M na to, tsk tsk parang di na worth it, considering last November kUHa ko ng 1.548M total, 1.648M - 50k discount, The. I got 50k more worth of certificate for Isuzu parts and service.

Though it feels good na plus 250k kagad value Neto blue power ko. Para ka invest stock market. Pero it really doesn't feel premium car. To be honest, my 2005 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer drives better and more premium Oh well, that's inflation

What is Orange Peel? And How do You Fix it?

More floaty even when compared to the ride of the 2nd gen MS? That's odd. And as for the inside, only the chinese models get the new interior, which you have mentioned already. Nevertheless, I still hope that it will arrive here soon.

If only Isuzu have offered the MU-X with that interior or dashboard and the Blue Power engine 2 years earlier, then my parents would have gotten this instead than the decade design old BK, which is still expensive.

Now that Isuzu had adjusted their pricing for 2018, mas mura pa yung MS GLS Premium with more equipment, for me ang hirap ma justify yung 1.8M mu-X with the old interior. If local units are on par with the Australian model pwede pa.

Now I don't feel so bad about owning the first release model. Parang hindi worth yung 457K price difference.

Sabagay, everything I'm looking for (leather seats, power driver's seat, stability/traction control, decent standard equipment) is in the 2.5 LS-A already. Everything else are just add-ons. 😄

The fact that you own the first release model and don't feel bad about it 'til now is a proof that you made the best decision back then. The interior that you were referring as old was once new and everyone who buys a vehicle greatly considers its design because it is where we spend most of our time and feel the level of comfort on short and long journeys. The interior of the blue power MU-X was improved and the level of comfort is very noticeable compared to the previous model including NVH, though not totally all new kasi facelift model lang ito.

I don't work for Isuzu and haven't own one before pero yesterday nag Tour De Laguna kami ng wife ko the likes of 7 lakes surprised ako sa performance ng 3.0 blue power engine and the smoothness of the new 6 speed transmission compared to other brands that i own. Yung wife ko kasi numero uno against buying it pero turns out all praises sya and she quoted na "One should really just don't buy because of the brand but you have to experience it." Sabi ko sa kanya trust me on this kung ayaw mo we can still sell it later at a good price because we'll get it before the new excise tax price hike. Ganun din attitude nya dati with the brand when we got our Kia Optima pero until now marami friends ko offered to buy it pero ayaw nya pabenta. Sorry if OT na pero i believe it's unfair to judge a brand or a person if their experience is less than others kasi lahat naman tayo dumaan sa pagu-umpisa at pagsisikap pero kung walang magtitiwala eh walang mangyayari sa atin.

I used to get variants that have latest electronic gadgets and equipment compared to other brands kasi ang hi-tech ng dating, but later realized that i really don't used it as often and felt sad that i paid extra for it. What's worst is kapag nasira kahit di masyado ginagamit eh nakakasama ng loob dahil merong feature yung car mo na non functional. It also adds to the depreciation when it's time to sell it kasi most pre-owned buyers prefer a fully functional feature of the vehicle that they're buying and will bargain for it.

Isuzu has done a great job on this facelift model, isa rin ako sa mga naging interested sa MU-X when it was first introduced but i felt na talagang marami pang kulang na dapat ma-improve. Last year i almost got the limited edition kasi it has everything that I'm looking for, but when I learned of the blue power that's coming sabi ko I'll look at it muna sa Bangkok Motorshow. There I was convinced na it's the model that I want to have before the implememtation of the TRAIN law though not exactly same variant kasi there are features that will not be available here. Lahat naman ng brands affected for what it's worth now because of big price increase.

Ako if I own the first release 2.5 LS-A I'd keep and take good care about it, I might buy a dashboard instrument panel assembly of the Chinese model if that would really make me happy plus a new 1.9 or 3.0 blue power engine assembly with the new 6 speed speedtronic transmission kasi i believe bolt on naman lahat yan. Now I will have a one of a kind MU-X and have saved a little of the 457K price difference.

Walang perfect dito sa mundo kasi nasa Heaven, kaya whatever vehicle that we got before and will get in the future will all have imperfection.
Wala naman pumilit sa atin na bilhin ang mga yan kaya let's be grateful for the blessing that we have, so let's enjoy the features that we like and learn to accept what it doesn't have. Kahit marami kang pambili you can't drive 2 vehicles at the same time and enjoy the unique features of both.

Happy Mux blue power owner here, though twice a week ko lang nagagamit at most (coding car). When I bought this I know its limitations and strengths based on my need. I also tested other SUVs (PPVs) and they may have an edge specs wise but I don't need it. Simply stated, the mux ticked all my needs wish list.
Im aware that in time a newer mux or other suv's will be introduced with new this and that and more bang for the buck but as of the date I decided to get one, ito yung ok for me and I wont lose a sleep over it.

You need to remove the battery tray na plastic pang 2sm lang ung kasya. Merong 3sm battery tray plastic na nabibili.
