Hello,

I'm planning to get an SUV next year and considering MUX 3.0. I have some questions lang sa mga owners if your could help me. Thanks in advance.

1. Underpowered? Is this still an issue with 3.0 model or sa old models lang sya?
2. Maingay or matagtag? Maingay po ba talaga at gaano kaingay?
3. Mausok po ba?

1. Underpowered?
Just been to Pagudpud (from Laguna) then Baguio (via Naguilan road) then back to Laguna - At SCTEX and TPLEX don't ask my speed anymore (it's illegal na) and overtaking at high speed nakakatakot na rin kasi kaya nyang ibigay (180 yata max nya). Naguilian road is just like flat road sa 3.0 Mux, you can literally overtake even on steepest part (just be cautious of safety). At Baguio, some steep road since i use 3.0 AT at stop you can release the brake and it still go up by itself (that's power).
2. Maingay? Iwan tulog lahat ng pasahero ko.
3. Usok - inherent yata sa Diesel pag biglang tapak will cause soem black smoke.

Yung underpowered misconception sa power/torque produced per displaced unit kasi. Kung icompare mo sa ibang ppv, very similar ang output ng Isuzu pero mas malaki nga lang ang makina.

Just to put into perspective:
3.0L Isuzu Mu-X 163ps/380Nm
2.2L Ford Everest 160ps/385Nm
2.4L Toyota Fortuner 150ps/400Nm
2.4L Mitsubishi Montero 181ps/430Nm

Montero medyo mataas pero peaky kasi engine nito and hindi linear sa rev range.

Pwede naman taasan ng Isuzu output ng unit nila, at the expense of reliability. Btw, B10 rated din pala 4JJ1 ng Mu-X/D-Max. Test drive mo na lang para makita difference.

anong rpms ang peak torque ng models stated above?

Test drive mo po mux and all new suvs and compare. Libre lang naman po ito at isama nyo na rin po buong pamilya para makuha nyo rin po ang opinion nila. Usually, biased na kasi if opinion ng mga tao lalo na pag nakuha na nila oto. Pabor na pabor na. Hehe.. Pero based sa aking test drive before.

1. Di po compared sa all new suvs(fort, eve, monty, trail.)

2.1 Opo, mas tahimik both engine at loob ng cabin ang mga all new suvs.
2.2 Softest ride ang mux. Panalo sa rough road or sa panget na daan sa pinas. Downside is medyo floaty sya at high speed vs sa balanced handling ng all new suvs(tamang tagtag lang vs. High speed stability.)

3. Ang tamang term dyan is Euro 3 pa sya, all new SUVs are all Euro 4. -google nyo na lang po meaning, di ko rin kasi alam ibig sabihin. Pero basically mas malinis na usok ng mga euro 4, a generation ahead. Pag nag pa smoke emission po siguro kayo sa LTO mas makikita.

Di naman talaga mausok. Uusok lang ang mux pag inabot mo un 3k rpm or over. Pero pag tinakpan mo na un egr system, di na uusok kahit irev mo ng mataas

Yup lalo na kung DIY 4x4 of 3/4 plywood lang, 4ft piano hinges, 1 1/2 pako wala ulo, stickwel and yun black na pam balot ng speaker box.

Yung sakin wala naman problema sa lamig per se.
Pero pansin ko talaga na humina yung blower.

Any inputs mga sir?

Hello everyone. Maybe one of you can help me out. Been try to acquire a limited edition mux for a few weeks. I went to the dealership in Pasig and filled out the application form on December 21st. Til now walang feedback. Yung kausap ko na Sales rep non responsive sa messages. Nag inquire ako sa Rizal dealer pero ni refer ako dun sa agent na di naman sumasagot. Is this common?
