Downsizing, better fuel efficiency, lower emissions, higher output then may bagong design sila na single belt lang ang nag ddrive sa components. Di ko po kabisado pero maraming bago

I like that it was said to be the most fuel efficient when compared to Montero and Fortuner, plus the much vaunted reputation of Isuzu and diesel engines

No issue/s brad. The 2.5 production was slowed since the thai market is transitioning to the 1.9D engine. All markets that require the 2.5/3.0 euro2 spec will still get their appropriated stock ie ph & indo and some countries with dirty diesels.

I guess the next big thing for our local market would be the euro4 spec diesel engines ie different compression ratios/injectors? Not yet sure though.

3 kinds of engine for a single model? or this totally replaces the first 2?

As a person who owned an isuzu crosswind for more than 10 years and admiring the raw durability of isuzu engines. Yes its slow, it vibrates, is noisy, and mausok but up to the last day in my hands before handing it over to the next owner and 180,000km clocked, It's one click ika nga.

For me isuzu is bulletproof engines period. Except for the infamous Trooper engines of the early 2000s, which leads me to this. Isuzu engines are known for durablility and simplicity, until that tooper engine, I think thats the skyroof models, naisip ko kasi baka dahil hi tech, ang isuzu pang low tech lang hehe.

How has isuzu engines evolved, medyo tumatak sa isip ko yung skyroof models na talagang puro horror stories noon. Bumabalik sa isip ko yun dahil dito sa nakak sorpresa na moves ng isuzu sa kanilang Mux. 3 engines in one model in a short span of time. Im just wondering.

2.5vgs and 3.0vgs are of the same generation, paano naging older?

As said by IsuzuPh, the 3.0 was offered because of demand for the 3.0vgs.

Almost 32,000km on my Dec 2014 MUX. Never missed a beat.

You can check Aussie forums, there are others who already did 100k-150k kms on their Dmax/MUX with the same engines albeit detuned here.

I don't think the 1.9 engine is coming this year to our shores. More likely, it's going to be on the final major facelift next 2-3 years.

I was waiting for this but they just announced the same engine but with all the added interior features and some exterior updates.

Sad. Will be buying MU-X 3.0 2016 then. Hassle lang, I heard the color I want (Silver) mahirap makuha, then there are still no stocks of the new MU-X so I think it's going to be a long wait.

2016 MUX LS A AT 3.0 (8N) silky pearl white user REVIEW and queries.

hello! I'm a new owner of the 2016 MUX LS A AT 3.0 (8N) silky pearl white bought 3 days ago.

    1. I'm a bit concern about the fuel consumption.
travelled 63km and consumed 6.1L. so around 10km/L
( used D mode and my travel time is 1hr and 20 Mins to the destination..15 mins city drive then mostly highways na )

used it again at 77km distance and consumed 6.7L. so around 11.5km/L
(half of that distance dinrive ko sya ng manual, and mostly highways)

medyo malayo sa advice ng agent na 18km/L.NORMAL ba yun sa new and break in na MUX?

    2. 2 days bago nag ka signal yung GPS pero ok nmn yung interface nya.

    3. not yet functional yung TPMS (tire pressure monitor system) need daw ng battery. san yun nilalagay?

    6.1L / 100 km = 16.39 km / liter
    6.7L / 100 km = 14.92 km / liter
Computation is 100 / Liters consumed

Best and most accurate way to calculate consumption would be to fill up full tank, reset odometer. On your next fill up (preferably at the same station and the same pump), note the number of liters you filled. Check odometer before resetting.

Fuel Consumption = Distance Travelled divided by Liters Filled Up.
