November 13th, 2009 01:19 PM #1Anybody, any idea why this is so? Is it because Accent is too expensive to be used as taxi and the 30+ km/L is just a hype? Can anyone here share the his experience on the performance and maintenance of Accent, either as privately used car or taxi?

Cos of the badge hyundai daw kasi. Actually maraming pumakwaw diyan. Ramgen is the one punta ka sa garahe nila in manila.
I remember before there is one company purchase a fleet of accent 200 unit in HARI.

Well taxi drivers who used this unit, told me that they consume only 800 pesos on a 24 hr service compared to gasoline.

5 factors.
1. Expensive
2. 30km/l isn't achievable
3. Owning a vios J is cheaper.
4. You can add an LPG tank to the vios, with that cheaper fuel.
5. Maintaining a diesel engine can be expensive.

Vios is cheaper though not as hardy as an Altis. Kung Accent e di Altis na lang. Nothing beats a Toyota.....as a taxi!
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
