ok ba yung llumar?
Haha.
guys, any news on tucson's shipment? Me 2.0 gls theta II kaya n parating? TIA
Next week may mga dadating.
Pero malalaman lang ang Variants pag nasa Planta na.
Been waiting for 3mos now. Wala talaga details. All they can say is 3rd week expected next shipment. Basta daw kasama na kami sa allocation ng darating na batch. balak ko sana mag post after makuha unit namin. he he
i believe the Tucson is only the best bet in that category today and in the nearby future.
let's compare
CRV - due to the success of the Tucson, ang mga "prestigous" think tank ng Honda lalo pag nagmahal. dunno maybe to brainwash the buyers na super high-quality talaga ang CRV, and by increasing the price gap baka ma-convince nila na cheap quality ang tucson coz it's so cheaper compared to CRV
Escape - the best contender sa Tucson in terms of value for money and affordability, but yun na nga lang halos isang dekada na ang modelo na ito.
X-Trail - mas ok sana yun pre-facelift version but they made it bigger, and they made it more expensive or as expensive as the CRV
upcoming ASX - now this one CUV na mataas ang bilib sa sarili, ni walang previous gen model pero grabe halos tinapat sa crv ang pricing. i'm sure this will fail as the outlander in terms of getting a lot of buyers. kasi nga, hindi naman sumikat as late 90's crv and rav4, pero grabeh kung magpresyo. buti ang ang tucson gen1, they had the delikadesa to offer cheap sa market kasi introductory
upcoming Sportage - while a lot of buyers are so excited about the progress of Korean cars, dahil na din siguro sa mga pictures sa net. the actual pics don't do justice. it's the reverse, mas maganda sa pics, relatively okey lang sa personal. i've seen it and it's nowhere near the refreshing look of the Tucson. kung titignan mo nga ng mabuti it looks like an old Audi suv circa 2005.
Rav4 / Forester - the main reason why people buy a CUV is bec. of the conditions of our roads. at least it's a better alternative than getting a compact sedan. fuel consumption is secondary priority. pero kung bibili ka ng SUV na alam na medyo malakas na nga sa gas (imagine a civic can 500km on one full tank, while a cuv can only do 350-380km on one full tank (at mas malaki pa ang tangke ng cuv), tapos bibili ka pa ng ubod ng mahal na suv, so what's the point. unless yun na nga you're an enthusiast or a die hard subaru or toyota fan.
Tucson na talagakung hindi nga lang dalawa na ang SUV ko, kukuha ako nito eh pero i'll settle for the Jimny as my third this year. para may small (jimny), medium (crv), large (sta fe) na ako. plus the Jimny can go to places that these new hi-end vehicles can't.
Very nice post Jimny!
Pero IMO "better" yung quality ng CR-V compared to Tucson. Since I have both, hi-end variants.
Maganda yung built quality ng CR-V. Also the interior plastics.

the sportage looks promising.. hindi ko palang nakikita in person.
we will get another CUV, baka yung sportage ang mapili namen if ever.![]()
Di kaya may silent recall / revision sa mga GLS 2WD variants kaya walang dumadating?
Kasi kung mapapansin niyo yun ang pinaka problematic na variant.
