just want to know if anybody has expirience the same thing as I,.,.,napansin ko kasi that during some rainy days our SF got some moisture trapped in both headlamps..,,,.and after a while kapag ok na ulit ang weather mawawala din siya without leaving any mark,.,.,is there anyone expirencing the same thing here? fellow SF owners?

I already let my dealer know about this problem eversince we got our SF but they're advicng me to take some photo shot of it to justify coz kami pa lang daw ang nakaexpirience ng ganun.,.,.after a long time of more than one year ngayon ko lang natyempuhan ang moisture trap na yun tsk tsktsk.,.,

I experienced it too pero maliit lang so di ko na pinansin as opposed to disturbing the dealer and getting headache trying to prove my point I decided it wasn't worth it... Yes it also happens on cold days or rainy days pero kung wala naman ulan it never happens...

Merong isang Sta Fe owner is Innova Boy ata yun grabe yung sa kanya parang pinasukan na ng fog yung headlamps nya. I think sakit nato ng Santa Fe headlamps its just a matter of matindi ba or maliit lang...

Naisip ko baka trapped moisture sa loob ng headlights, so I tried to blow some hot air inside the headlamps thru the socket of the high beam bulb, para mag evaporate trapped water/moisture.

yah mine does that too. 5 days after i got my unit. the moisture will evaporate after a while. will only happen if you open the headlights right after a carwash. i didn't worry too much about it as the electricals were not affected.

thanks guys for your replies.,.,.now i know na marami pala tayo na ganun ang headlamps,.,..,

BTW guys.,.,do you think the casa can rectify this..,.,though the electricals are not affected my worries are baka sa katagalan eh magiwan siya ng mark inside the lamps(stained headlamps)?

I'm kind of hesitant kasi to bring this up again to my dealer coz they might ask me to leave my SF to them for checking.,.,. mamimis ko si Fe niyan tsktsktsk

I think that it is worth the temporary sacrfice sir. Have it serviced nalang when you can make time for it.

Normally to cure this problem they just take out the assembly, wipe the moisture on the insides or blow it with a heatgun. It can then be resealed with silicon.

This happens even to the best of brands.

I think this is a defect in the design of their headlights...

Am not sure about that. I personally have not experienced the moisture problem since I got my unit back in 2007.

(service advisor) na to take picture... delaying tactics lang yun.. they should given him a good explanation lang..

nako.. not to offend but that sounds unfair to most buyers na hindi pinayagang palitan yung unit na may ganung kaso rin dahil hindi connected to something sikat sa masa (like sa media or daily tv show for the masses)

true... but still case to case basis pa din naman when it comes to palitan ng defective unit.. nasa pag-uusap naman kasi yan e.. kung ok ka sa dealer na pinag-kunan mo ng unit mo possible na ma-palitan unit mo.. pero kasi according to DTI when it comes to brand new cars ang pwede lang palitan is yung defective part..

SF moisture inside the head lamps?
