Haven't tried what you stated here yebo, but my experience is the same as mikey177's. It will automatically lock the van after about 30sec if you accidentally press the remote key (after you locked the van)....
Anyway, I have a style in carrying the key after I lock the van. I carry the key on the key ring so that I am certain that I will not press the button. And then, if I am already far from the van, it is then that I put the key inside my pocket... Talagang sensitive and button ng remote ng Starex....

May solusyon po sa remote key ng STAREX, I insert plastic between the button & the body of the remote para po medyo tumigas ng kaunti.
MADE IN KOREA ang fuel filter ng HONDA..... Post ko pics later...

Sorry, sir. I don't have any experience with the gas-powered Starex. However, I would think that the models with hood scoop have a turbo intercooler, while those without it are normally aspirated (except for the 2005-2006 CRDI Starex, which has the air intake integrated into the front grille, hence no need for a hood scoop).
My technique is to carry the keys on a carabiner, because I don't like stuffing things into my pockets where lint can clog them. Naka-untuck palagi ang shirt ko, kaya hindi naman kita ang carabiner na nakasabit sa pants belt loop ko. The keys do jangle more though.
Kasi, ba't di pa uso ang retinal scan para sa pagbukas ng sasakyan

I ve been browsing through this thread from 1 to 80. I remember na once napadpad ako sa link na 'to: http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1003248
as far as i know wala pong 100,000 km na makikita sa Maintenance Schedule simply because yung odometer bumabalik sa 000000.
So its easier to understand that km 00 is the beginning of a new cycle in the maintenance schedule.
Cguro yong importanteng i consider is the condition of your timing belts : (hyundai mechanics recommends replacing timing belts evry 70,000 to 80,000 km)

I've also replaced my reservoir, my turbo lugs tightened....

i think you have to do some research on the fuel consumption of the gas variants. heard from a contact that consumption on it can get bad - expedition levels - although i couldn't quite confirm it. since you'll be doing out of town drives that have some climbing, you might be better of with a diesel version.
the units with scoops have the TCI engines. units without scoops have different engines. the Big Face models don't have scoops anymore, as the intake for their intercoolers are integrated into their front grilles. for the Small Face models, you could either have a gas fed unit or a diesel fed unit that has either a non-turbo or turbo (but not intercooled) engine.

It was a pleasant experience this afternoon at Hyundai Alabang.....
35T Kms PMS of our Starex in just 2.5 hours..... Even if this required only the regular oil change, it nonetheless included the changing of the fuel neck (claimed under warranty) and the changing the windshield washer fluid reservoir, which I understand, required the removal of the right headlight assembly.....
As I received the unit, I tested the park lights, hazard lights, headlights and windshield washer, while standing outside the vehicle... Couldn't make the washer work and could not hear the motor running so I called the attention of the Hyundai technicians to look into it. They promptly responded and we found out that I was engaging the control for the headlight flash....
Hyundai Alabang was offering their new Starex,- puwedent trade-in... I told them that I am quite happy with my (Gen3) unit.... So, it looks like they have some old Starex there, so that they can sell the new ones.
