Sir Baygon meron na pong para sa old SF na Red LED Mirror Turn signals. You can call Sir Benjie para maka-reserve po kayo and palagay na rin ninyo! (hehehehe)

Another thing, its really true na medyo bitin yung visibility nung old side mirrors specially on the driver side. I saw some suggestions on improving it like attaching a smaller convex mirror pero parang mahirap padin makita yung oncoming traffic kasi maliit lang yun. Meron pa ba kayong other suggestions?

gandang gabi po! i'm here in hanoi, kaka-alis ko lang ng manila kanina. been busy so wala talaga time mag-post hehe!

anyway, here's the latest on my sta fe. went to maspro 2 days after i got back (that was jan 17 i think) and had a gen 2 step board and rear mud guard installed. ala na pera so yun lang muna. wanted to go back after pay day but had to do some other upgrades (like buy 2 laptops, 1 for me and 1 for wifey) so wala na atik to go back to maspro. anyway did not like naman putting a spoiler kasi, i like the roof better clean. i also installed a nextbase headrest mounted dvd-tv system, can't afford the P65k in-dash video system offerd by sir benjie and also it's only the kids at the back who will use it most of the time naman. actually it's just 1 nextbase dvd-tv on one side and then i bought a separate generic monitor sa raon and had it connected to the nextbase unit.

here's a picture of our sta fe with the stepboard.

i spent the next 4 days after the stepboard was installed protecting the exposed metal under the stepboard. they removed the rubber cladding kasi so the metal was then exposed, i was worried that rust will start when the metal gets peperred with sand and mud. what i did was to spray rubberized undercoat (3 coats) then i installed rubber sheeting extending from the lower part of the stepboard to the part of the car body that would normally be covered by the rubber cladding. then i sprayed expandable foam to seal out some gaping sections where i can not install the rubber sheeting. then silicone sealant to keep eveything tidy totally water (and MUD!) proof. forgot to take pictures of my work though hahaha! after i finished it e work naman ako on some home improvements kasi. yan nga pic sa taas e phone camera na lang which i took just before leaving manila kanina. grabe so busy talaga!

Meron po nung Old model mirror w/ red LED arrows sa Maspro, ganun ang naka-install sa SF ko just this january lang. Kulang ko na lang ay yung housing w/ LED signal lights para kumpleto na. This February daw ang padating ng mga accessories nila for our SF. Panibagong gastusan naman ito

    Yeah, I think you're right.

Kaya nga I didn't bother to call Sir Benjie na... although tempting talga. Actually, I think its useful, specially for me, kasi 2x na ako muntik mabangga dahil sa blind spot ng original na mirror.

parang mali ang lagay mo ng convex mirror. i also have the same (75mm). dun sa instructions na kasama dun sa nabili ko the mirror should be installed on the outer and lower part of the side mirror. so since nasa left side (driver's side) dapat nasa left (or outermost) lower side ng side mirror ang install mo ng convex mirror. this position allows you to see the side of the vehicle using the normal side mirrors and it also allows for wider field of view for the convex.

btw, yan din ba yung naiikot, may revolving bezel? yung nabili ko pwede mo i-ikot (16 different positions) yung convex mirror after installation kaya pwede mo i-aim in, out, down or up.

Yes, its true... I didn't bother to call Sir Benjie...

    ....

    ...

    ..

That's because, I decided to just go there and have the side mirror installed!

For me, it's a necessary upgrade. Mahirap na maaksidente... hirap talga ako dun sa enlarged side mirror.

Installation was clean and seamless. Bale meron na kasamang kit yung side mirror to tap with existing signal light. Si Sir Benjie rin tumira nung electrical, maingat at malinis gumawa... actually, its just a simple wire-tap pero maselan din kasi yung glass.

In the end, I'm happy with the upgrade, no more blind spot. Practical and useful.

Thanks Maam LR for the ads!!

Mali nga po pagkakabit ko... wala kasi instruction. Naisip ko lang para ndi matakpan yung view... it turns out, pagtumingin ka sa side mirror ndi mo mapansin yung convex mirror kasi malayo sya.

Anyway, just upgraded my mirror to the LED side mirrors, so don't have to worry about this anymore.

Well, not really cut but more of tapping into the wire. Actually meron kasi kasamang kit to tap into the existing wire, so malinis sya. Unlike the usual splicing, meron syang pre-fabricated na pang tap - ang galing nga e. di ko madescribe maigi... basta malinis sya. Sayang di ko nakunan ng pics...
