2.4 liter engine mas matakaw talaga iyan.

pero kahit anung klaseng engine naman, basta on heavy traffic, expect fuel economy to drop, not unless na parang sa honda accord na may VCM na 3 cylinders lang umaandar pag natraffic. imagine 3.5 V6 engine consumes 8km/liter city driving tapos 17km/liter sa highways!

nag experiment ako, trip meter vs full tank test.

monday, pa full tank. set to 0 km yung trip meter.

friday, karga ulit full tank. liters: 18.59, km: 161.9

so full tank test: 8.7 km/li

yung nasa trip meter ko naman at that time ay 11.8 li/100km or 8.47 km/li

not bad! di naman pala malayo ang reading sa metro natin

[edit: sorry nalimutan ko. sa mga di po nakakakilala sakin, ito po ay sa Tuc IX GL CRDi]

Yan ang computation ko during break-in period. After makapag change oil w/ shell semi synthetic last July 18 full tank P1300.00. From Valenuela - Sukat - Orion Bataan - Clark around 220 kms. may natira pa 3/4 sa guage. mga 9.63 ltrs. lang nagamit or P325.00 = 22.85 kpl. mas lalong tumipid nang ma change oil. Biro mo SLEX 2X, NLEX AT SCTEX 2X, Parang mahal pa toll fee ko kesa fuel. Top speed 130 kph most of the time 90-100 kph. Super gaang kasi ng car biro mo pag sa patag naka neutral maitutulak mo ng 1 kamay kaya siguro napakatipid. So far wala pa naman ako naramdaman disadvantage. Nakakatakot lang feeling ko compare sa Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 ko na matatag maski matulin.

Dapat accent na lng kinuha ko instead of i10. Pero ok naman performance nya for my first bnew car. Olats lng sa FC compared to Accent.

  17. #177
yung i10 kasi gas, yung accent diesel crdi 1.5 liter

Utol ko sumakay ng sitak, accent, small talks nila about how happy the cab diver is with the accent sa fuel economy.

    actually it makes sense.

the accent body is not that heavy, the engine displacement is smaller 1.5 liter. the figures are achievable in real life IMHO.

yung tucson nga nakaka 13km/liter, 2.0 turbo diesel pa yun with a huge and heavy body to pull.
