hi mga sirs,

noob po, question lang about fc. sa 2012 accent ko 1.4 at,
37L ang naconsume ko sa 260km.. so if im not mistaken 7km/L ako = 14.3L/100km..n city driving po pero di naman traffic, di ako kaskasero. nasa normal range ba yung FC ng accent ko? by the way 1 week pa lang yung car? para kasing hindi sya matipid. magbabago pa ba yun pag na adjust na? wait ko pa pa ung 1kpms ko. kasi yung ibang accent owner parang ang titipid sa gas? tanx po sa mga sasagot

Over the weekend, managed to spend approximately Php500 to and from Clark. Running at 100-150kph at 6.1L/100km on my Accent.

it might be because your nearing your PMS and your oil needs to be changed. oh plus the air filters, they have a huge difference. I just replaced mine yesterday and boy it feel's like new again in terms of acceleration btw R-evgt yung saken pala

Agree with this. The air filters I usually clean at least once a month. I do this in our gas & diesel feed cars.

ACCENT 2011 owners, paki-collate naman FC nyo..

these two posts above are so far apart ( first one is 7KM/Liter, 2nd one is 13.6 km/Liter (converted))

Obviously mas maganda ang 2nd example. (Sir nokianitrox, what is your secret? )

Unfortunately, my almost 1 year old Accent 2011 have poor FC, mirroring the ave 7KM/Li consumption of the first post above)

One thing: I just use it for CITY Driving, in Manila, relatively short distances.

MY AVE KPH is ONLY 9 to 10 KPH! (I always reset and take note of this). Ganyan kagrabe traffic!

People always post their FC (eother in KM/L or L/100 KM), maganda siguro if pwede isama ang ave KPH speed nila for perspective?)

Even with my occasional out of town trip to TAGAYTAY only, wherein dun lang ako nakakahataw with Ave speed of 70-80 kph for that 1 trip, bababa pa rin AVE sa 11-12 KPH after few days back in manila before ako mag refill ng gas...)

My BEST Mileage ever was last Summer pa, when i drove my then Bnew Accent to Baguio... from Manila to Rosario with ave speed of 80-90 kph, my FC then was 14 Km/Li! How I wish and long to have that constant FC.

Sorry for the lenghty post, but bottomline my questions are:

With this dismal AVE speed of 9-10 KPH, expected na ganyan kababa ang FC ko? 6-7 KM/Li or 14L/100 KM?) or maybe something wrong with my car for such dismal FC?

Also, any of you guys also check your AVE KPH in relation to your FC?

Bro, with this route, di ba traffic dyan? I use this route sometimes too. Caloocan is traffic... Quezon ave is traffic (lalo na sa ginagawang underpass).. pero galing ng FC mo! Whats your secret bro? Whats your AVE KPH? AT naman yung accent mo di ba?

I dont get it.. sa tuneup ba yan (even before and after my PMS ganun pa rin. no difference), ECS calibration? what can i do?

Parehas tayo ng average speed, mine hovers around 10-11kph, lagi ko rin nirereset everytime i gas up. Purely city driving din ako and never pa nakatikim ng highway duty, the most highway na natakbo ko sa accent is sa edsa na hehehehe.
Usual route sta mesa-cubao-sta mesa heights-sampaloc. Minsan sobrang traffic minsan hindi, very light lang ako umapak sa gas, hardly exceeded 2k rpm between shifts, mine is accent 1.4 a/t

Fuel consumption ko 5.8km/l, beat that!!! Hehehehehehe. Nung kabibili ko palang nasa 7.5km/l average, then went down to 6.5, the lowest i got was 5.3 km/l (large suv category). Eto kasi yung kasagsagan ng low power dahil sa kaka experimento ng hyundai sa kotse ko. Ngayon hindi na low power accent ko pero bumalik knocking, i havent gassed up yet so hindi ko pa ma compute latest fc, pero i would guess nasa 6.5 km/l

Nice to know di lang ako nagmomonitor ng AVE Speed... e sa traffic lang naman kasi (standstill) e bababa talaga AVE speed natin. Kasama pa dyan yung minsang pag wait ko sa car with aircon on pag may sinusundo (I try not to idel for long naman.. pinapatay ko rin..)

Sigh.. i was just dissapointed. My first new car in over a decade, first time AT, good FC reviews of the OLD Accent (CRDi).. I guess my expectations were malaki matitipid ko sa gas... yung pala hindi..

At first, pag stuck ako sa traffic, nasa isip ko, "haaay buti na lang naka AT na ako.. di na pa-clutch clutch!"

E now, pag na traffic "Oh no... mataas na naman FC ko dahil sa AT!" hehe

Out of curiousity, ano naman mileage ng mga Accent MANUAL? (mag bacbackread nga ako....hehe)

Im looking forward to this summer.. we will drive to Baguio again.. e mas excited pa ako mag long driving para ma"exercise" naman Accent ko kesa sa destination mismo e... hehe

Try mo rin pre mag long out of town driving para naman makatikim ka ng magandang FC kahit once a year man lang... hehe

judging from your post, it looks like your engine is ok. its just that your sitting in traffic way too much. If you try to check your instant fuel consumption meter, the highest it consumes is when your coming from standstill. obviously when your sitting in traffic your always on your 1st/2nd gear, that explains why your getting a horrible fuel mileage out of your car. and your average speed of 9-10 speaks a lot also.

tho mine is diesel R-evgt 2.0 tucson, my ave speed is roughly on the 17~18kph. my mileage is just 8km/liter

Malabo mangyari yan bro, i dont feel confident enough to drive the accent on out of town trips, una hindi kasya family ko, second nakukulangan ako sa power niya (maybe nasanay lang ako sa other rides ko na vgt). So im stuck with the horrible fuel consumption.

Hindi din pala ganun katipid yung revgt na tucson, considering 18kph average speed mo. Sa santa fe i manage 6-6.5km/l with average speed of also 10-11kph.

18kph average will still give you horrible figures which won't be far from a 10kph average. Gaganda lang ang FC averages mo pag beyond 50km/h na ang naging speed averages kasi most cars can already cruise at 5th gear in that speed range, requiring lower engine RPM.

8km/liter for an R-EVGT Tucson is very good in my books if the average speeds are less than 20km/h.

yep, worst i managed was 6 to 7km/liter on traffic situations talaga. Basta traffic, kahit anong car pa yan, worst mileage talaga.

and one more thing, im not sure din how the ave speed computer computes the reading. Im just resetting it every fill up din kasi. So thats the figures im getting. Pag highway drives im getting around 31km/h ave speed tapos nasa mga 11~12km/liter ang consumption

I'm a 1.4 M/T owner.

My average speed based on my trip meter is 17 KPH, I don't use Q. Ave since sa mga secondary road ako dumadaan bale labas ko eh Espana na but still medyo traffic pa din yung route. I usually upshift at around 1.9k - 2.2k RPM. Manual computation of my mileage is 12Km/L that is based on my fuel use per week kasi yung 1k worth ng fuel ko eh may natitira pang mga 2-3 bars after ng week. Siguro mas matipid lang talaga yung M/T na accent as compared to A/T
