November 26th, 2012 08:40 PM #1It seems the US government has found out that Hyundai overstated the Elantra's fuel economy.
Two of my friends who own an Elantra Automatic said that they only get 8km per liter.
What's the experience of owners for the Elantra Manual?
Thanks to anybody who can contribute.

November 27th, 2012 08:25 PM #3Thanks, Elviar, for that info.
Additional info: A Hyundai car dealer said that the Manual Elantra (1.6) gets 9-12 km/liter in city driving. He also stated that both the automatic 1.6 and 1.8 get 8km/liter.
I recently got feedback from another person that he gets 11-12km/liter in city driving for the manual Elantra.
Hope there are others with similar experiences or at least have heard testimonies from Elantra manual owners.
Salamat.
