Hyundai Grand i10 Diesel Engine Specifications
Hyundai Grand i10 Diesel is powered by 1.1 Litre U2 CRDI diesel engine which produces a peak power of around 70 BHP * 4000 RPM and a peak torque of 160 Nm between 1500 to 2750 RPM. This engine uses a 3 cylinder 12 valve unit with DOHC technology. It comes coupled with a 5 speed manual transmission system only. There is no automatic variant in Grand i10 diesel.

Just to put that into perspective the Mitsubishi 4d56 n/a engine produces:
Power - 55 kW (74 hp) at 4,200 rpm
Torque - 142 N·m (105 lb·ft) at 2,500 rpm

The 2014 Grand i10 (not the Euro i10) will be sold here in the Philippines.

More expensive than the Mirage and most models will have 1.0L engine. Only the top spec P688K model will have 1.2L and is 4AT only.

I am expecting level of kits will be similar to the Mirage GLS, including KOS, DVD-NAVI HU, Auto AC, ABS/Airbags on top spec 1.0 'L' and 1.2 'L'. While the 1.0 'S' will be base models plus 'safety features' like ABS and dual airbags. 1.0 'E' as for Hyundai speak is for 'Economy'. Must really be a stripper model.

HARI should just ditch the 1.0 'L' 4AT variant and should just immediately offer a 1.2 'L' 5MT instead for the same price.

I share you sentiments, at least they should have included the 1.2 engine with the manual transmission. From the price point, it seems that they won't be introducing the diesel version as well since its very close to the accent diesel sedan.

Yes, and besides, there's already a 1.0 'S' 4AT variant. Odd, that the next tier up model still has the same 1.0L engine and 4AT.

Sana yung global hyundai i10 ang pinalabas dito satin iyon kasi ang carbuyer car of the year 2014. As far as im concern hindi raw pumasa sa ncap car test ang grand i10.

AFAIK, ang di pumasa ay yung current i10 without airbags along with the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and the older K10 model. Even the Ford Figo and Volkswagen Polo, again, without airbags ay hindi rin pumasa.

Sayang di linabas un crdi diesel engine sa grand i10
pinuntahan ko un display nila sa moa at sabi sakin wala daw sila nun crdi at kung magkakaroon bka masmahal pa daw
so disapointing talaga mukang toyota wigo na ang panalo

1.2L AT at 768K daw??? Ang mahal masyado. Parang Jazz 1.3L ang target ng Grand i10 #NananaginipNgGising

siguro kung di maging mabenta to at di nila mapantayan mirage at wigo bka ilabas nila un crdi na i10
