    Ayun! Sablay talaga ang seating configuration ng TCi na GS. Though it gives you both cargo and people carrying room, if you only need one or the other, wala ka nang flexibility. Best option to do a conversion would be seatmate, but I don't think it'll come cheap. But best to try first.

    Upside sa pag-convert is you retain the vehicle that you've already maintained for a while. Upside ng pag-upgrade to CRDi, is the CRDi engine + the seating flexibility. Basta magaling makapamili yung friend mo, ok din mag-upgrade.

    Regarding Baler, according to my friend who was there about 2-3 months ago, definitely a diesel powered ride for that mountain of torque for climbing and overtaking. As regards the road conditions, yes there are rough roads, but they were about 300-500 meter long at the time, bridging the gap between cemented portions. I just don't know nowadays na nag-uulan. Better daw SUV, but when I asked kung kaya ni GS, oo daw! He drives a T6 Ranger btw.

    Eto pa additional feedback from some clubmates:

    Back from Baler mga sir, car lang dala ko, 1.3 engine, AT. 4pax plus 1kid. 5 hours.
    Marikina-NLEX-SCTEX-TPLEX-Victoria-Licab-Talavera-Llanera-Rizal-Pantabangan-Maria Aurora-Baler.
    Okay na yung daan, medyo malubak lang dun sa part ng Nueva Ecija sa may bandang Licab. The rest sementado na, pwede kahit more than 100kph na takbo, kasama lang family kaya chillax lang. Dun sa Pantabangan okay na din sementado na din almost, medyo ingat lang sa mga curve. Yung mga spots na hindi pa sementado yung mga part may tulay, maiikli lang kayang kaya. Madaling araw kami umalis kaya solong solo yun daan.
    dapat nag SCTEX - Tarlac exit ka na lang para La Paz - Zaragoza - Aliaga - Talavera ang lusot mo. di ka na nagbayad ng additional toll fee sa TPLEX, very smooth pa ang kalye (can go up to 140kph on straights!)
    And for the shorter road which is less travelled supposedly due to a more "off road" nature:
    matigas ulo ko… sa old highway ako dumaan.. passing through bongabon, nueva ecija…

    mas maganda ang view dito kesa via pantabangan.. though may mga sections na ginagawa at inaayos, palagay ko mga 20% of the total length lang naman…

    kung naka suv din lang, i suggest na dito na lang dumaan… mas maikli pa compared to pantabangan…

    bale ang naging ruta ko, via pantabangan going to baler then via old highway/cabanatuan going back…

    nice drive indeed…

    thanks sir cvt... . 60k+ na po ang mileage. ok pa naman po ang brake and tire. yung po ba timing belt kelan pinapalitan?

    Bro- ang alam ko, chain tayo,- and typically for a chain 80KKm-100KKm ang palitan...

    Let me check with the manual tonight and post later.....

    BTW,- I'd recommend that you have the EGR blanked as it will give you more power, while mitigating/eliminating your soot (black smoke).

    Pag binasa nyo sir sa manual, usually 100k ang palitan ng timing belt, pero sugestion ko palitan nyo na yan by 80k. Yung GRX TCI namin dati pinalitan namin at 67k, may mga pinalitan kasi na mga parts na kailangan din tanggalin yung timing belt kaya sinabay ng yung timing belt

    sir wala ba epekto sa makina pag na blanked yung EGR? madami nga nagsasabi kahit dun sa dmax namin kaso wala naman po ako idea kung paano at saan gagawin kasi wala dito sa lugar namin naggagawa ng ganun... .

    Timing belt po ang tci engine...kasi po 4D56 lang ang engine natin tulad ng mitsubishi

    Sa mga magpapalit ng timing belt, mas maganda kung orig na Mitsubishi ang ilagay nyo, parehas lang yan ng pang L300/Adventure

    Usually 100k km ang replacement interval ng timing belt, pero recommended na palitan na pag umabot na ng 80k mileage.

    Sir, normal ba na maingay ang 1st gear ng TCi Manual Trans? Sabi nung SA ko dami na daw nagreklamo pero normal daw yun. Irritating parang jeep. Dadalin ko sa ibang dealer for 2nd opinion. May starex is 1500km * 1 month old. Patulong mga GS experts. TIA!
