not really 100 km its 1000 km or 1 month, and if it is 100 km and exceeded 1 month you should changed the oil,the rest follows as every 5000
km or 3 months. but i think no one or few follows this condition. specially those who seldom use the vehicle, i average between 10 k to 15 k km a year, but now i have alternative rides i guess 10 k km per year is hardly attainable
for 1.8 variant is 938k 1.6 is 798k, report ko lang fuel consumption ko in actual ( full tank ,drive and fulltank again) city driving w accumulated 1 hr of waiting while engine is running, a/c is on, it consume 7.2 km / liter, ok na rin for a 1.8 and a/ t variant, since my old mazda 1.6 average 6km / liter. mastitipid payan paghinde ako start and stop and wait
Ganda talaga ng Elantra! I am thinking of buying maybe next month. Ilike the 1600 MT only, para mas simple and more economical. Those who already got their Elantras, Is it really good, really worth the price? How about performance and quality? Thanks for any info.
it was fair to me, my strada is 8.5 km / l innova around 9-10 so is carens and these are all crdi and manual trans may be we dont hve the same type of route, usually my destination is 3 to 5 places per day, and mostly are heavy traffics and idle a lot on each route stop. these are pure city driving and some of it are rush hour, imagine makati to shaw take 30 min to 1 hr on rush hour. and average speed is around 5 to 10 km/ hr, btw what 2.0 liter r u driving?
Argh. There's a scratch in the gloss of the door pillar of driver's side door. Probably caused by the seams of the car cover. Is there a pen that I can use to cover it? My car's color is tomato red.
Thanks Shibatosh and hockeyblood. Since I'll be having the 1000 km service this week, I'll have it buffed at the casa muna. Mababaw lang, can't feel the scratch with my fingernails.
I think mauuna ako sir, kasi nasa 772Km na ako then pupunta pa ko ng subic this weekend. Pero regarding the cost, nung nagpaquote ako nasa Php3,300 for semi synthetic and filter since free nanaman yung labor. I dont' know kung mahal to or mura![]()
Also, question: kung magover sa 1K yung odo let say 1225 bago mag pa 1K PMS - ok lang ba yun or kailangan exactong 1K?
1225 should be ok. hindi mo naman talaga masasakto sa 1000 yan eh. i think basta wag lang umabot ng 1,500, ok pa
Teka, nagbasa ako dun sa Hyundai PMS thread mukhang mahal ata yung quotation sakin for first 1K PMS. Given with the same type of oil (semi-sythetic 4li, I would assume) and filter lang ang papalitan - nag range lang from 1500-2500. Althought Accent yung pinaguusapan sa thread na yun pero may difference ba ang elantra other than mas mahal sya sa accent ng konti?
Update ang regarding the 1K PMS ng Elantra;
I called Q. Ave:
Semi-synthetic and filter: 2,800
Fully-synthetic and filter: 3,800
I also called Commonwealth: as opposed dun sa una nilang qinoute sakin -
Semi-sythetic and filter: 3,500 (+200 na sa una)
Fully-synthetic and filet: 5,400 - dito ako nagulat kasi hindi daw pwede mag semi kasi sabi sa planta fully synthetic daw ang required
Lastly, E. Rod:
Semi-synthetic and filter: 3,100
Fully-synthetic and filter: 4,300
medyo nakakalito naman ang Commonwealth - is it really recommended na fully-synthetic na agad or pwede mag semi muna then sa 10K saka na mag fully?
Open po ba mga dealers on holidays for the service maintenance? Sabi ng agent ko last week na open daw. Ngayon sabi niya sarado. Lalampas tuloy ako sa 1500 km limit to avail of the free service
Every trip I take is around 200 kms. I read the warranty booklet, sabi dun free ang PMS labor kung less than 1500 km ang mileage. Asked and told the sales agent weeks ago na ipaskedule ang PMS for tomorrow kaya kampante lang ako. I asked him again kanina to confirm my schedule tomorrow, saka ko nalaman na wala pala service bukas. If I use the Elantra again for my usual trips, lalampas na ako ng 1500 kms. Now I have to choose which to sacrifice, the free tint repair if I have the PMS somewhere else, going through horrendous traffic during school days or not using the Elantra for 1 week and not having a days' earnings in Batangas on Saturday...
BTW, kung hindi masunod ang suggested PMS schedule, will it void the warranty? The warranty booklet says that 'damages incurred due to irregular PMS or non-compliance to the recommended vehicle preventive maintenance schedule are not covered'. Just want to get it straight. I don't trust my SA anymore
