Open po ba mga dealers on holidays for the service maintenance? Sabi ng agent ko last week na open daw. Ngayon sabi niya sarado. Lalampas tuloy ako sa 1500 km limit to avail of the free service

Anyways, got the chance to see an Elantra kanina sa daan. It's a red 1.6L iirc. Galing Hyundai Greenhills. Ok lang itsura ... not that stunning, pero, k lang siya compared sa uh .. FD.

Every trip I take is around 200 kms. Gusto ko sana sa original dealer ko kasi isasabay daw nila sa PMS ang pagayos ng tint kasi marami pa rin bubbles, kaya lang iniiwasan ko sobra traffic pag school days sa Greenhills. Pag Saturdays naman nagpa service, hindi ko makukuha car before closing time na 5 PM kasi mangagaling pa ako Batangas. I read the warranty booklet, sabi dun free ang PMS labor kung less than 1500 km ang mileage. Asked and told the sales agent weeks ago na ipaskedule ang PMS for tomorrow kaya kampante lang ako. I asked him again kanina to confirm my schedule tomorrow, saka ko nalaman na wala pala service bukas. If I use the Elantra again for my usual trips, lalampas na ako ng 1500 kms. Now I have to choose which to sacrifice, the free tint repair if I have the PMS somewhere else, going through horrendous traffic during school days or not using the Elantra for 1 week and not having a days' earnings in Batangas on Saturday...

BTW, kung hindi masunod ang suggested PMS schedule, will it void the warranty? The warranty booklet says that 'damages incurred due to irregular PMS or non-compliance to the recommended vehicle preventive maintenance schedule are not covered'. Just want to get it straight. I don't trust my SA anymore

Nakakita ako ng dalawang elantra kanina sa alabang....ang ganda pala talaga nito sa kalsada....

may display unit dito sa pavilion mall. red elantra 1.8. spacious sa front pero headroom sa backseat medyo mababa

Talagang mababa, for me zero rear headroom kasi hindi ko madiretso ulo ko pag upo sa backseat, same also sa accent

I guess it's the compromise the designers made to get the car's overall style. But I think the headroom would just be ok for an average Pinoy who seats at the backseat.

i just saw 1.6 elantra kanina, mas type ko ang color ng interior black yun seats and black yun door trim, at dark color yun dash board, hinde dumihin

gaano ba kadalas dapat mag apply ng wax? ok lang ba na mag wax agad sa brand new na unit? sa nabasa ko sabi sa kabilang forum may curing period daw yung car paint - may iba naman nagsabi sa planta pa lang cured na.

May recommended ba kayo na car care products like shampoo, wax, tireblack, microfiber cloth? may pina try kasi yung friend ko Mother's brand, ok na ba to?

Update lang regarding Elantra 1.8 GLS A/T 1K PMS:

I had the PMS done earlier this morning in Hyundai Q. Ave -
Total Bill: P2,620 (lesser pa ng 180 compared dun sa quote nung tumawag ako last week and mas mababa ng di hamak sa Commonweath na 3,500). Service includes: Semi-synthetic oil, filter, vacuum, car wash and wax. Actually, may pinagawa pa ko na worth 800 pero ginawang free na ng service advisor ko "Mike" ang name . In addition, meron silang checklist and good service talga. The Service Advisor even called me na tapos na yung unit ko, it took only 3 hrs for them to finish everything.

So far, mas smooth pa ang tunog ang mukhang mas lumakas ang hatak.

Kudos to Hyundai Q. Ave kahit hindi kayo yung dealer ko! Thanks for a job well done!

That's good to hear sir. Sayang masyadong malayo sa akin ang Q Ave.
I plan to have my 1st PMS done at my dealer and hopefully I could say the same. Medyo nag-aalangan nga lang ako sa experience ko so far: I had to bring my elantra to check a creaking sound on the rear floor, driver's side kapag dinidiinan. Parang me maluwag na fixing screw or something. I brought it in yesterday pero hanggang ngayon e di pa rin natatapos. They had to bring my unit to their main branch para doon pa ayusin. Perhaps I expect highly from their service but still, more than two days to tighten a screw is too much as far as I'm concerned.
I just hope maipaliwanag sa akin mabuti ng SA kung anong naging problema so I'll understand kung bakit nga kelangan abutin ng more than 2 days para ayusin ang elantra ko.

but still thinking, kasi i'm waiting for the 2012 new ford focus na stylish dw at 40mpg din like the new elantra...thanks!

Wala pong shark's fin XM antenna ang Phil version ng elantra. Kaya I'm considering installing a dummy one para kamukha din ng KDM & US versions.
With regard to the front grilles, pareho lang ng base GLS dyan sa US ang itsura. Ok sana kung meron din available na kamukha ng sa limited version na black chrome grilles sa lower front.
Iba din ang itsura ng horizontal chrome bar sa upper front grille - continuous yung sa GLS instead na me putol sa sides ng Hyundai logo. Standard yata yung nandito para sa GLS trim.
Would be interested din to see a phantom black elantra. Yun din sana ang kukunin ko, kaya lang i might not have the time and resources para i-maintain ang black na kulay.
