On Astron7, GPS is Garmin. "All functions are working, GPS, DVD, Reverse Camera, Steering Wheel Remote Controls, Radio, TV, etc. and sound quality is better than stock as it is also amplified"

So far wala po naman kayong naeencounter na problema tulad ng mga ito:
    - intermittent freezing (which requires powering off and on to resolve)
    - Losing connection with Ipod using the IPOD cable in the glove compartment
    - IPOD USB Jack in the center facia, IPOD is detected as an extenal HD but can still play music once you navigate through the folders, i think that's why the characters on music tags are in chinese.
Ah, I see mga 20+ K din pala katumbas... Yup garmin gamit ng astron, research mo sino may mas updated map or kung regular ang update, yan kasi important sa gps, sa garmin, may free OSM map, and roadguide map na they always update... Wala akong mga problem na yan, meron din ipod cable sa glove box, and the standard aux and usb are still working... Ung Audio controls sa manibela all Are working din.. Nag upgrade din ako front speakers so mas gumanda sya... Rear and subs na lang... Pero so far oks na sa akin...

parang di sulit yun free, yun astron 7 cost 28 k 30.5k pag kasama camera yun freebies mo around 20 k so 10.5 k ang natipid mo, but the head unit mo kinuha nila. so break even lang, btw does this unit have sub control?

Kung MTech yung free, so-so lang performance nyan . . . yan din ang freebie ko sa 1.8GLS pero di ko na pinakabit . . . papangit pa kasi yung dashboard . . .

What I did was put it in the Tucson instead . . . so-so performance at may time na ang tagal ng response, especially pag may bagong pasok na iPod or CD or SD. But of course, better than the JVC HU that is built-in with Tucson (Gen1)

1.6 MT here, on my first full tank it yielded about 10.3 Km/L overall (about 40% highway 60% city). Average fuel economy according to the onboard computer was 8.8L/100Km which translates to 11.3 Km/L so it is optimistic by about 10%.

Not too bad as the 60% city driving included very short trips of <5 kilometers and lots of Makati stop and go traffic. Also with the same driving conditions I still expect it to go higher as the engine completes its break-in. I think that this car should really shine in highway driving as cruising along at 6th gear at 80Km/h nets about 3.5L/100Km in the instantaneous fuel economy gauge.

    Thanks for the info sir!
What is the usual route for the 10.3km/L FC? What comprises the 40% highway (nlex/slex/others pls specify)? TIA!
If ever I'll be blessed enough to be able to buy the car, my daily route is through nlex to makati area.
I'm hoping that I'll get a higher FC because NLEX naman yun..

Hello I'm one of the lucky owners of the Clean Blue Elantra. :D
Question lang po. Binalik ko kasi sa casa yung unit to have the keyless entry checked kasi ayaw mag flash (single) ng lights kung ilock ang doors at di gumagana ang burglar alarm. Naayos nila and parang may sinabi sila about sleep mode something. Pero after 1 day balik ulit sa dati. Anyone have any experience similar to mine? ty po and more power. Mabuhay elantra users! :D

40% highway was mostly SLEX, free flowing traffic with speeds from 80-100. I hope that you'll be able to make your decision soon!

For 3m CS-5 sides and rear, CS-20 full front. For Solar Guard HP Supreme 4 or GSG 10 or XG-5 sides and rear , 22 full front

wow thanks sir...gonna get it done in makati...medyo hirap magkamot sa loob pag walang tint. Just wondering regarding the FC will improve, right now it is 12L/100km after driving mostly along C5 to SLEX then Cavite, with an average speed of 80, since the initial reading before was 14L/100.

Maybe you want to try the V-Kool K series tints. Hyundai Global quoted me around 6.5K for the Santa Fe. Whole car na.

Ang mahal lang naman sa V-Kool yung VK series, yung clear.

Pero don't expect na yung shaded series ng V-Kool eh same performance nung clear. Mas mura kasi eh, pero ok naman daw.

I'll be getting my Elantra 1.8 GLS soon on the 27th.

Question lang mga sir... Aling Gas kinakarga nyo sa mga rides nyo?

I read from someone here that XCS is his best choice after sea oil and shell unleaded.

Any thoughts mga sir? - Newbie car owner here =)

I like XCS for quick acceleration , caltex gold for smoother and quieter engine but with a little delay in acceleration.
